Texas vs Ohio Recruiting

It will never dry up completely as Nebraska recruits nationally, as noted they will get more recruits from the b1g footprint. I am not concerned. Some of our coaches recruit very well in Texas due to coaching connections. I agree with the Texas comment. The team that needs to be concerned is Texas. A&M might be eating their lunch in the next few years.

I am one of those guys that subscribes to the theory that you recruit speed from the southern states and the West Coast. Recruit the bigs, LB's, power backs, etc from the Midwest. That's a generality of course.

This can be partially attributed to our lack of exposure in Texas. Granted, all of our games are on national television, so that's not an issue, but playing a game or two every year in Texass did help a bit.

One thing we could do to help with this is move a game occasionally to the Deathstar in Dallas or to Reliant Stadium in Houston to help with this. Our game with Tennessee would be a good candidate for this, IMO, and why it was disappointing to see that we're not playing in New Orleans next season.

I know we're going to lose an occasional home game with this, but we will be making significant bank once we get a full share of B1G money. I would think we could fiscally stomach moving one game every couple of years to DFW or Houston to help with recruiting...?

Would rather see the game played in Houston. I have no desire to contribute to the dysfunctional world of Jerry Jones or Dallas in general.

 
Just get the best athletes that will fit our style of defense and offense. Could really care less where the hell they come from.
