Well...this season sucked. Time to look forward to 2020, the year it officially becomes the Future.

Next year’s schedule is unquestionably harder.

With how much Purdue has improved. If we dont make changes to our system and playcalling we could start 0-1 at home. Just about zero gimmies there outside of Rutgers and UCM.

Purdue is the wildcard, win that and I see 6 wins, lose that and we need to scramble for a 6th win somewhere. I'll remain optimistic and go the positive path.

Purdue - win

Central Michingan - win

SDSU - win

Cincy - loss

Northwestern - win

Illinois - win

Rutgers - win

Ohio State - loss

Penn State - loss

Iowa - loss

Wisconsin - loss

Minnesota - loss

6-6. Bowl game? I'll stay the optimistic path and say we beat the non power 5 school we play and finish the year 7-6.

If we lose to Purdue, I think we may be able to scavenge a win vs Iowa, but then I could also see us losing to Illinois. Who knows.

Heck, knowing our luck Rutgers new head coach, whoever that will be, will only take him 3 weeks to rebuild that mess in New Jersey and Rutgers will be bowl eligible by the time we play them.
