I nominate you for failing to see the difference. Whites are constantly celebrated in the U.S. We decide what goes in the history books, we make the political decisions, I could go on. There's no need to have a special WhiteET. Blacks on the other hand are an underrepresented under-recognized minority and there are a lot of good reasons to bring what they do to the forefront. The same can be said for any other minority.

That being said I don't necessarily agree with the boycott. I haven't watched a lot of movies this year. Maybe they should list some Blacks who they think were more deserving of the awards. Or maybe they should look deeper into the problem - maybe not enough Blacks are hired for big movie roles, maybe not enough Blacks are writing movie scripts or having their movie scripts picked up by studios.

It's really the only way to look at it. You have all white executives choosing predominantly all white actors for all of the major roles in TV and Movies. Then you have an all white voting panel deciding who the best actors are.

Seems to me people of color start out way behind from the get go.
