The Republican Utopia

Are you advocating for Presidents to exert greater vigilance and regulation?
Vigilance?   Shouldn’t they always be vigilant?

greater regulation?  That can’t be answered with a one size fits all answer IMO.  It seems safe to say some industries may currently be under-regulated and some over-regulated

All true. But it sidesteps the other questions. If you are blaming two Presidents for the 2008 economic meltdown, what do you think they should have done differently, and when?

It's a good thing that people are starting to look into possible negative side effects...right?
According to that article, we've been looking into the negative side effects for a long time and haven't had any reliable evidence that there are any at the levels of fluoride that are currently in the water.  But they did look into what happens without it in Alaska and Canada and found that the positive side effects disappeared.

I mean, at the end of the day, it is what it is.  It might mean higher dental insurance rates in about 15-20 years if it is removed.  As far as I have any idea, dramatic increase in teeth problems will be the only side effect.

From the article:

Mr. Dantzler was one of 3 votes that passed the fluoride removal.

“This is reminiscent of what happened with COVID,” Dantzler said. “All four of us, with exception of Commissioner Dollison, were here during COVID and asked to make medical decisions on things that were very complicated, and we don’t completely understand.”

Pretty illustrative of our government over the next 4 years, at least!

Ok, so a question for all Republicans and Trump supporters.

What country in history has done what Trump and Elon want to do to society, government institutions, and the economy you can refer me to so I can look to see what to expect?

I giggled a little bit at the idea that "failure to do so would be a complete repudiation of his presidency and a failure for the entirety of MAGA".

You would think Trump's abject policy failures and unfulfilled promises from his first term would've already solidified that, or the fact that most scholars consider him to already be one of the 10 worst presidents of all time and he will probably be considered as much 100 years from now (unless this second term somehow turns into a miracle, but I'm not holding my breath).
