The Republican Utopia

I get why some employees roll their eyes at DEI as just another initiative that’s pushed down from management. It’s no different than safety training…etc.

But, I’ve never understood the social backlash against it.

I’ve spoke directly to the point in meetings multiple times about how discrimination in the workplace will not be tolerated and I’ve fired people on the spot when I’ve found it. I’ve quit doing business with a salesman because he disrespected a woman I have in management.  I don’t give a s#!t about your opinion, it’s not going to happen in my company if I can help it. I have a very diverse work force in part because of that.

What I don’t get is why anyone outside my company would have a problem with that or not want do business with us if I put in place a “DEI” statement officially declaring it. So, if Walmart has a DEI initiative, why the f#&% does anyone care so much that they see that as a negative towards the company?

I don't like that all DEI is lumped together as one big evil.

Not all DEI programs are about hiring. Not all DEI are even about boring required training about treating everyone kindly. Some are just about having a lot of really good food and I'll be damned if that gets taken away from me.

Ehh, I think it is sort of "fake" outrage.  Just like  dorks that claim they believe in helping everyone and how everyone should have these amazing rights...but then they buy sneakers made by kids working in sweatshops in other countries.

It is more just lip service and social media posts as opposed to practical application.

I am against guns and bullets but I will still shop at stores that sell that lame stuff.  But I will gladly post about how lame it all is.  For the most part, if not for social media, we would almost hear nothing about the "outrage"

I make good money and literally have had nothing to do for months at a time at work. This notion that people earned that much money by just working harder only exists in the imagination of people who want it to be true. I don't want more money for me. Even if you want to say they work harder there is no way these CEOs are working millions of dollars harder than some construction worker or mechanic or welder.

Elon has billions of dollars and has the time to make up fake government agencies and tweet 200 times a day and visit the border pretending to be a cowboy. I'm sure his job is real hard.

That clip was cut off during the sentence the reporter was making.   I do wonder what the finishing words were going to be.

I’m hopeful you do realize that Medicare, Medicaid, and SS spending can actually be reduced by reducing the amount of fraud spending, by reducing the amount of waste spending and reducing the amount abuse spending without actually giving a cut to needed benefits for people
