Thunderin' Bolts @ Shriner's Children's College Showdown

Huskers plate another run and also had one thrown out at the plate. 6-3 now, still batting 

 
Perry in to pitch and OU scores 2 on a long ball. , currently 6-5 Neb…. OU still up to bat with tying run on bases

 
Ugh…. OU ties it up in 9th with 2 outs with single and bobble in outfield allows runner to score from first base. OU loads bases after that and walk off single. Scored 2 runs with 2 outs. Ouch !!!

 
In all, I'd say it was a good weekend. We knew going in we didn't have a developed and proven closer. The offense will need to carry this team again this year. It's frustrating that Bolt seems to struggle finding closer arms. Why could Erstad/Silva find them but Bolt/Childress can't is a head scratcher to me. Maybe it's not as bad as we think either. First weekend is always a dogfight. This weekend will reveal a lot more of what we can expect to see this year. 

 
Feels like Nebraska got a bit cheated to not go at least 2-1 this weekend against some pretty stiff competition. Texas Tech is always a tough out and Oklahoma (at least early appears to be off to a good start. As @Loebarth mentioned, big 4 game set against Grand Canyon who are off to a strong start and could very well be 4-0 when Nebraska comes into town this Thursday.
