Top home sell-out streaks in college football

I don't think our sell out streak is legit. I've seen empty seats before.

I don't know about anyone else but we know our streak has been fake for many years. When MAC teams started appearing as filler on the schedule the school would 'sell' blocks of tickets to any Wendys who would take them.

There's a youtube video of that game and in the comments section, there's obviously an argument about Nebraska's attendance. a Notre Dame fan arguing is dumb enough to say "you husker fans think youre so great. There werent that many of you there. Notre Dame wear white shirts too" and so on. That is all.

:yeah Where is the sell out thread? After 20+ pages of black holes, metaphysics, fan intentions, flat tires, parallel universes, and a possible trident, I think we pretty much figured it out....

Oh, don't worry, we know ;) At least since 2000, we know.

What!? Notre Dame is 2nd? So you are telling me that back in 2000 when we went to South Bend with Crouch as QB and Nebraska fans filled up half if not more than half of their stadium, by doing so, we actually kept their sellout streak alive? OMG! Think about that? How Ironic!

empty seats or not arent what determines a sell out people! Geez.. if someone has purchased a ticket but doesnt go to the game and thus there is an empty seat, it still counts because the ticket was officially purchased. You know the key word in sell-out is SELL? Meaning the purchase of! Once it's purchased it counts towards the sell-out. lol!

Be glad, because now when Huskers mention 2000 I can reply that empty seats took over the 2012 Big10 Championship Game.

After the fanbase took over magnificent Los Angeles, Chicago, and...Iowa, many fans exhausted their budget that could be reasonably spent on vacations like these.

Couldn't some of those seats be for people who bought a ticket, but did not attend due to illness, scheduling, transportation etc.?
