Trump Cabinet

The question is why were they scared?  Because that sounds like a bad work environment.  I worked in one of those for a decade and I was terrified to speak up because of the way my bosses acted.
LOL....I work very hard to have good enough relationships with people under me so they feel comfortable talking to me about things.  However, every once in a while you get someone who is a) doesn't have the confidence to say something like that to the boss....or b) want to kiss a$$ with the boss to get what they want personally.

Both of those situations are bad.

My goodness.  This cabinet could be really crazy.

Tulsi Gabbard as Sec of Defense??

Former Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is angling to become defense secretary in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet, The Post has learned.

The Pentagon post is at the top of Gabbard’s wish list, four sources told The Post Tuesday, but the soon-to-be 47th president has yet to make his final decision.

One GOP insider said Gabbard was “going to privately petition Trump early this week” about becoming defense secretary, though the source added that the 43-year-old could also be interested in becoming CIA director.

A source close to the transition told The Post that Gabbard, who is serving as an adviser to that team, is believed to be interested in the defense job — but faces competition from former Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie, who is leading the transition’s Pentagon team.

This source said Gabbard would be “way better” than “weak” Wilkie, whose tenure in the first Trump administration was marred by allegations he mishandled a sexual assault report while serving as undersecretary of Pentagon personnel and readiness — the office that handles the Defense Department’s sexual assault prevention and policies.

Others also floated as contenders for the defense secretary post include Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), who has earned favor in military circles for working closely with the Pentagon on defense legislation, and House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), GOP sources told The Post.

This is the rub, and it can manifest in a lot of different ways. In terms of the Presidency, Lincoln was well known for this, stuffing his cabinet with many of his opponents. To articulate it further, colleagues devoted to the cause above all else, or those who's principled opposition serves to steer the cause closer to north, are more valuable than colleagues devoted to you and/or their own success above all else.

And sadly, the verdict is emphatically in on Trump's hierarchy of values found in those who work for him.
What are those values of everyone he has picked so far or those that work for him?

What is the verdict on hierarchy of values for his new COS?

My current boss is great and she listens to us.  But at times my boss will also say things like "Well, this is the way I want to do it and so this is how we are going to do it"

Turning everything into a back and forth, what do you think, no, what do you think...and constantly challenging each others ideas just seems like a mess
Paralysis by analysis.   Cause of failure for many an organization.

Ok so ignoring that this is some cyberpunk nightmare to put a billionaire business man with insane amount of conflict of interest owning companies still in charge of something like this. Its insane to let them name this after a coin that Elon owns large stake in and promotes.

Elon definitely drew up that press release lol.

This is gonna be great! When have mega-rich billionaires ever let the little guy down before?

Fox News host will be our next Sec of Defense. No that’s not a joke.

Not just a fox news host, but (per a quick glance) a guy who fought to pardon american war criminals, worked as an advocate for more troops in iraq and afghanistan, wants to privatize the VA, and was a platoon leader at guantanamo.
