Tyler Gabbert quits MethU

As of the moment, Chuck Gabbert said he was not at all sure where his son would consider transferring.
"It's actually one of those things where you're taking a leap of faith," he said, noting that his son would concentrate first on finishing final exams this week and adding, "It's one of those things where he's looking for a new start and a fresh start."

That search for a fresh start will begin with the numerous places that heavily recruited Gabbert as he was coming out of Parkway West. That may or may not include Nebraska, where Gabbert, like his older brother, initially committed.

Or it could include Louisville, where family friend and former Nebraska offensive coordinator Shawn Watson now is.

Oregon, Iowa and Wake Forest were among others who pursued Gabbert before.

I'd bet he goes to Louisville. They're OK at QB, but not great. And he has those "strong ties" to Watson.

He is NOT coming to Nebraska. No way.

Wow... if the Gabbert parents don't take a look at themselves and look to see if the things that have unfolded with both of their children are indicative of something, then they're terribly naive.

At least Dad is saying the right things..Still a little dissapointed in this generation? not willing to fight it out.

 
Cannot imagine Watson would take him after the way he screwed him over in his recruitment.

BTW, Blaine represented his family well, I would say. There's absolutely nothing to complain about with him.

A quarterback who snubbed Nebraska, then decided to transfer. HMMM. Your right. No way. It would work out horribly, just like Scott Frost...errrrr

One big difference---Scott Frost was from Nebraska so it was seen as a "homecoming" for him. Like he came to his senses kind of thing.

Not so with little Gab.

 
He's seems to quite a sense of entitlement for a 6-foot passer who couldn't beat out a running QB in a spread offense. Who's going to want him?

Was Scott Frost ever committed to Nebraska, or was he just a local kid that chose another school, as is completely within his rights?
