Heck at the very least you can take your flight as scheduled but then go complain about something to a customer service rep. Since they are now empowered to give you stuff to make you happy, I'm guessing they may be anxious to do whatever you ask for, for a little while anyway.

 
On American today they offered $950 and rebooked folks a few hours later (and with an additional connection). I was really thinking folks would draw it out to see how high they would go ... the staff looked like they ate lemons each time they upped the ante.
