Usc Calling Their Defense Blackshirts

That's a safe bet. They're still knee deep in talent until the beach beckons. :) Or Beverly Hills or Sunset Blvd. or Rodeo Dr. or UCLA( ) or the beach babes or the beach babes or the beach babes. Did I say the beach babes?

San Diego is so sweet too.

But everyone knows exactly where the REAL BLACKSHIRTS are. No not the tat on my arm fool. :) figuratively speaking of course.

Hi All,First post here. I was checking out the USC board and was suprised to see them referring to their defense as the Blackshirts. I've always considered that synonymous with the Huskers. Guess they can't come up with their own nickname so they will try to steal ours. Shouldn't be surprised. Looking forward to the season !!!

CU has been trying the same thing with their little "The Real Blackshirts" BS. at first i thought that was just their fans until i noticed a pic from last years game where one of the players had it written on his hand. sad really, especially considering the outcome.

I would expect CU to not be able to come up with their own traditions- but USC? c'mon people! Can you imagine Texas stooping so low as to call their D the "Wrecking Crew"? even in teasing.

no matter though, the University trademarked "BLACKSHIRTS" years ago, so they can't "steal" it no matter how uncreative they get.

but he only had 2 years before he was fired.
butx2. with Al Davis running the Raiders, coaching in Oakland for more than 2 years is a reaaaaly long time. Just ask Norv Turner.

I said coach, not head coach. Callahan was also one of the most sought after offensive minds in football. He helped engineer and create Jon Gruden's offense. The Raiders were also a potent force offensively while he was coordinator, despite having a career journeyman at quarterback and two fossils at receiver.
