"We will not surrender"

Yes, ISU went to hell and gave up on the season, but like the Omaha Paper said that was ISU greatest team in years. They also wasnt rated #12 in the big 12 in total offense either. Also didnt Know that Now at Nebraska, we just want to be competitive. I guess i had higher goals then that this year!!!

Everyone did to a point; including me. But I always knew it wasn't realistic given the circumstances. Most people like to ignore said circumstances.

The program is greater than one season. What I mean by that is you can't define a program, team or staff by one season IMO. That goes double for this year IMO.

I agree. Lets get some better athletes in here and let them get use to our offensive philosophy and then lets see where we are.

Well, if you believe everything that the World Herald says then you are a pretty gullible human being and I feel sorry for you.

Better coaches would of won that game Yesterday, i guarantee you that!!!
Better athletes might of won that game too yesterday but to argue that is a matter of opinion and gets us no where.

However, I think you have to give the coaching staff more than a year to show what they are worth. There is too much volatility right now.
Is that kind of like the time Pedersen gave Solich with his new staff? The way things went down, Pedersen and his clowns deserve NO TIME. They needed to produce this year and they haven't. And I saw the 'we need better atheletes' excuse in there again. I'm sorry but its a bunch of crap. We pasted Iowa State and S. Miss last year with the same people we have now. How do you explain that? We already have good athletes here. They are just being coached by morons.

This is what irks me oh better athleates would have won the game blah blah our athleats suck blah blah blah... THis is basically the same team that went 10-3 last year what has changed?

Pederson hired a retard to coach, west coast my a$$, this and every other loss we have had this year is due to poor coaching and poor preperation (also a coaches responc)....

Like it or not those are the facts, if Nebraska would run the ball and keep the D off the field they wouldnt get burned soo much, if your a DB and have to spend 70% of the game on the field your going to get a little tired.

It would also help if the D had a coach that could spell his own name, cosgrove is the worst, I dont know what he is doing half the time then again I doubt that he knows what he is doing half the time

Thank god someone with a IQ, Callahan and Cosgrove need to coach flag football or something or better yet they need to go coach in CU they seem to be good at only one thing loosing.

It is a whole new team this year with a whole new system so to compare last year to this year holds no water and is stupid to even bring up. If you can tell me that at the beginning of the year that we would not take a step back with this new offense i would of laughed in your face. Everyone and their dog knows that putting in a new offense takes some time. Yes, we have lost to some teams that we beat last year and should of beat this year, but that is what college football is all about, Upsets. It happens to every team, no matter how good they are. If you thought that Nebraska was immune to that, then you are freakin idiot.

explain to me how stoops did it so fast? O he is just a good coach? He takes a 3 win that that ran a crappy wishbone under blake and got them up to 6 or 7 wins in his first year and the next year he won the dang thing. If you honestly think we are going to win it next year you are crazy. crazzzzzzzzzzy.

I don't think we will win it next year. Stoops had a six win season his first year and Callahan has an opportunity to have a six win season as well. Looks about the same at this point to me.

Now you're just being unfair. Whether any of you want to admit it or not, you do have to look at the year prior to a new coach to have a fair comparison. Last year, Nebraska was 10-3. The year before Stoops, Oklahoma won only 3 games. I believe if my stats are correct, he actually won 7 his first year but he may have only won 6.

My question is this: We are breaking all kinds of records this year. Unfortunately, they are the wrong kind of records. If we do not beat CU, we don't go to a bowl game. Would you have rather had Solich coaching this year and probably saw an 8 or 9 win season and a bowl game, or would you rather end up not going to a bowl game this year and waiting and praying Callahan pans out?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have lived through some pretty embarrassing games as a Husker fan. Anyone remember the Orange Bowl when Miami put up 50 on us while we scored 3? However, I don't ever remember being embarrassed nearly as much in one season as we have this year. 70 points put up on a Husker D! 30+ points put up on the Husker D from an offense ranked last in the Big 12! I almost hope we lose to CU so the bleeding can stop early this year.

I agree with both sides. We do need to give Callahan a chance. Cosgrove is an idiot, but hey he is on the staff so we'll have to live with him. We do need to fire Pearlman and Pud ASAP. These guys could mess up a wet dream. I find it interesting that the whole University is struggling. Enrollment was down 12 percent this year. I realize this has nothing to do with the Football program, but it does say a lot about those who are running UNL. I'm a proud alum, but I'm not very proud of Pearlman or Pud. These jokers are not only jeopardizing Husker Football, but are also jeopardizing the University!
