What did we learn - Maryland

Lose big
Lose Closely
Win Badly (where we seem to be)
Win Big

Probably true. I get so frustrated with maddingly inconsistency with this team. Should've swamped the last two opponents (and probably should've beat UM) if they could stay out of their own way at times - and that includes inconsistency from the coaches.

Yet, so be it if this is the process to get back to be a consistently winning program.

I've never been the biggest believer in EJ's talent. But man, I'm now a believer. All-Conference in my book if he can continue to perform at this level.

The teams has learned to win. As a fan, I have forgotten. Was waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Dana can't help but pass. It's who he is. Hope he is learning running is pretty cool also.
We have some dudes. Need more.
Spend money on DL/OL.
WR group is the biggest position upgrade we have made in the portal since Rhule and Co came. Shorts has got his whole room playing well. Dudes getting catches I have never heard of. He''s building a room of dudes.
Ek has earned every bit of his $625k. This is the most (without a doubt) improved phase of the game for NU.
EJ is legit. BUT IMHO, we need that big bruiser who can get yards when none are there. EJ has great vision. Hoping he can get bigger and start to develop that part of his game.
They say a DB has to have the shortest memory, for the Huskers it had to be Dylan today.
Ugly win, but all that matters is score board. 5-1 sounds nice.
Still concerns about members of the staff, but maybe better talent makes everyone look better.

True but hard not to do. When the game was getting away from us muscle memory says “oh here we go again”. Glad we’re clearly turning the tide. Skers of recent past would be 0-2 in the last 2 weeks.

Yeah. But I'm trying to remember that even if we're not in the stands we are fans, Husker fans. And Husker fans, when an interception happens to us, or a crappy 4th down call instead of a FG, could be saying, "That's all right! We got this. We'll kick the s*** (feces) out of them! Go Big Red! Instead of, "crap! here we go again.. I KNEW he'd do that.. when is this going to change? We suck. The D is tired... " Etc.

We had 31 rushes to 28 passes today.

1. The red zone woes are still annoying.
2. Run game was very, very pleasing.
3. Do we have actually have a return game now? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw us (nearly) house a kickoff!
4. Raiola's resilience is impressive as hell and may be his biggest asset.

Another game they won that would have been a loss in the Frost era. I'm getting used to that, and enjoying it much more.

To be honest was very worried about this one..... we just seemed ripe for it.
