What did we learn - Maryland

People are odd thinking being a good fan is being a homer and you can't be even a little bit critical.

I hope the coaches aren't the same homers or the team won't get better than 2nd or thrid in the West behind Iowa.

Ugly win, 3 ints, pick six, dumb mistakes and penalties may work against Maryland. Might cost you a loss against Minny or Northwestern or UCLA. Causes a pantsing against a top 10 or an average Michigan.

Play to perfection not the opponent or lose to better teams.

Special teams overcoming turnovers won this game.
Personally, I don't think we have any chance to win the west this year.

Raiola just doesn't quit psychologically. He's a machine (in a good way).

If you're going to throw three INT's, then you need to lead the game-winning drive and throw a touchdown pass for the win. And that's exactly what he did. Total gamer.

The eyeball test for me says this was our best run blocking of the year (adjusted for strength of opponent).

Emmett went 21 carries for 176 yards at 8.3 yards per carry. Seriously? What a freaking amazing day for him.

And moreover, special teams was straight fire today. Holy s***. That kickoff run back into the red zone... *chef's kiss*

Watching other games and there are teams that would smoke this team. Some by running the ball down our throats, others by D.

I think we are better than the last decade, but vs top 10. Nope. Struggling Florida and Florida State would be tough games.

I'm optimistic we are better. But better than 20 years of crap is not high level.

Hope we turn the corner in 2-3 years and top 10 start fearing playing us again.

453 yards and 34 points of offense against a defense that was reported to be "good"...I don't know man; I think that's some tangible progress.

Defensively it just felt like we couldn't end any of their drives using pressure up until their very last drive. This is a theme. Lots of excuses can and will be made for that area, but in my opinion Butler really needs to dig deep and figure something out there. We're giving opposing QB's way too much casual time in the pocket.

I learned that the Huskers are winners again. Played a good B10 team on the road, had a bad turnover game, yet still found a way to win.
Maybe this is more recent than imaginable but when’s the last time we were negative in turnover margin and won? Pretty encouraging to see them overcome these mistakes and not meltdown

Maryland is likely more talented and possibly better than all three of those teams.

It sucks for Maryland losing back-to-back 4th quarter heartbreakers like that. If they weren't such a dirty team I'd feel bad for them.

I watched the game while I was working so I didn’t see everything, thank god I’m at a brewey! ….honest question, why were they dirty?
