Woman gets compliments and hates life...

Okay, some of the stuff is rude but this is still funny...some really creepy and some is really kind of freaky (Yes, the title is in jest, relax)

There is so much wrong with that article and video that it is hard to know where to begin (I know that you don't have a great affinity for the video, I'm just making some points).

First, your title is incorrect if you are to base how much the ACTRESS from the video really hates her life (numerous photos of her in seductive clothing just loving the attention/compliments that she receives).

10 hours in crappy NYC neighborhoods to get less than 2 minutes of footage? I could walk through those same neighborhoods and probably get just as much, if not more, unwanted "street harassment".

The majority of these guys aren't being rude. If a high-value man i.e. a man that this woman/women who complain about this stuff, had approached in the exact same manner, it wouldn't be harassment; it would be a Disney moment.

The writer talks about how this kind of behavior transcends all races and classes of people. Watch the video and try to find a non-Black or non-Dominican man in the video. This movement is INHERENTLY racist against men of color, particularly Blacks and Hispanic/mixed Hispanic men.

This writer and the "movement" that she champions are abject garbage.

Soooo true!

Yeah. This is a joke. At the bottom of the article were these 2 paragraphs:

Quote:

While ediesweet makes a valid point — one that was echoed by many others — others feel that the video is discriminatory (it says it depicts diverse group of men but only Latinos and Blacks appeared) and overall criticism of the relatively tame (and kind of nice) mature of catcalling. One man even asked, “What are guys supposed to do to initiate conversation if literally saying anything at all will always be considered harassment?”

On YouTube, user reklamedame had the perfect answer: “Dear men: If you are really interested in me, just say something like, “Hey, I just saw you over there and you seem nice. Would you like to have coffee sometime?”
I won't take up for some of the idiot dudes in there. But there were a few that literally said, "Hi how are you?". And she just kept walking. So whats the difference between that and what the girl in the last paragraph says?

Girls want to meet guys...they just don't want the guy to come up and talk to them cause they think they are hot...they have to come up and talk to them because the guys is supposed to think that this person they have never met or talked with has some amazing soul and is a great person...

Come on, this is easy!

Also, please keep wearing low cut shirts!

Translation: Hey, I was gawking at your cans from over there...so I thought I would move in closer and when I did you made eye contact...that eye contact told me that you probably are open to the idea of banging, sooner rather than later...I figured that it might cost me about 100 dollars and realized that is a good investment. But, its I am not sure on my return I figured I would start off with the idea of coffee.

I disagree with this to an extent. Women aren't going to be wearing a lot of what they do if they don't want to look/"feel" attractive. The only thing a strange guy on the street will know about them is that they're attractive. Ultimately, it depends on the guy's look and demeanor. If they look like trash and come off as a low-value man, no dice. If they look good and come of as high value, women will have no problem with the guy coming up and telling them that they're hot.

You, sir, sound like a guy that has read some of the Pick Up Artist writings...

Possibly... but this is essentially meeting women 101 kind of stuff

I'll bet fat girls would love to hear remarks like those.

Really though, making eye contact followed by a simple "hi" is enough. If she's interested she'll respond. If not, just move on. (Perhaps to a fat girl likely to be more receptive. lol)

Disagree with this entire comment.

How would you know? Well, unless you're a fat girl, that is.
The influx of thirsty guys who want girls, but are too intimidated by attractive ones has led to lower-to-mid range girls receiving a plethora attention from, in many cases, lower-value men. In my experiences, this has led to the WORST attitudes from this contingent (due to the negatively-received attention) so I don't even bother with it any more.

In response to the "eye contact and 'hi'" is enough, this doesn't make sense. So I look at a woman, she looks back at me, I say "hi"....then she is supposed to escalate?
