Ran a personal best 10.10 at altitude. Conversion would put him around 4.22 40. That would be one of the rare ones. Good example.

For reference, Bolt’s PR is 9.58. That difference is absolutely massive.
I would be curious to know how the conversion is calculated.  If they are taking 100 meter speed and converting it to yards and using 40 yard ratio to that figure then they will be off.  In any sprint, the first ten meters is the slowest ten meters of the race.  In a 100 meter race you have 90 meters to improve the per/10 meter time. In 40 yards you 26.6 meters to improve the per/10 meter time.

It actually includes a bonus for reaction time as in the 100 you have to react to the gun vs the 40 timing starts when you do. You can find articles that show how to convert it. I’m on mobile right now or I’d link it.

It it takes their actual 100m 10m up to 40 yds splits and then adds that reaction time bonus, it isn’t a simple division problem.

Regardless, Wandale is extremely fast, but what is unique about him is his jiggerbug quickness that is rare for someone with his great straight-away speed. I wonder if he has videos of Johnny Rodgers. If he is what we think he will be, that is who many older Husker fans will compare him to. Although Johnny never had Wandale’s great straight-away speed.

I uh... spent a little time "perusing" Dale's twitter.
