Your 2025 Nebraska Cornhuskers

how was it not obvious from day 1 that he should have been a tight end or defensive end? so they're going to try and teach him a brand new position his final year here? how many times has that worked out?

At least McGuire is young. Analyst role would be fine. Sattefield has no excuses. However Rhule did say that Dana wanted to retain him on staff. That’s the reason he is here. He was given some autonomy.

You absolutely have to fire Ed Foley
McGuire is still going to coach wr's along with Shorts.  Having 2 wr coaches doesn't make sense to me

I think they’ve known all along. One could argue that they didn’t have the luxury previously. For two years they’ve tried to get him some snaps in alternative ways.

Very manageable schedule in '25.  Only Penn State road game looks formidable. Really important year for Rhule in more ways than one.  The difficulty level goes up in '26.  I still say Coach Rhule needs to get to 8 wins next season.

There's also no limit on the amount of assistants, so who gives a s#!t?

at this point I don't really care if Mcguire or Satt are still on staff. We are going to be paying them anyways next year.  Might as well keep them around and make them earn that money somehow.

The mindset of we have to have the best 10 asst. coaches or else is not a thing anymore.  We can have 50 asst. coaches as long as the money is there to pay them and they are contributing.

This is where I'm at too. We still have to pay them, we can have as many assistants as we want, and I don't think any coach is completely incompetent. The just frequently get promoted past their capabilities - sucks to be paying them OC/WR coach money for smaller roles, but if they're good at those smaller roles it's not a big deal.

This is what we thought about 2024, with no idea that Indiana would be a top 10 team, and Illinois and Colorado would be top 25 teams.

He’ll stay on offense. He’s already practiced some with the tight ends. It’s not like it would be totally foreign to him.

Clouse with some galaxy brain stuff

Side note:  If you have a 8th/9th grade son, start having them learn to long snap.  One kid of my friend learned to long snap from watching you tube videos in 9th grade because a friend down the street was a kicker and he would tag along to kicking sessions.  Started snapping for varsity in 10th grade.  Now is being recruited by many midwest schools (including NU).  Great way to get your college paid for.
