  1. I know this conversation has been getting pretty intense, which is fine to an extent. But as a friendly reminder b/c 1huskerfan is still pretty new, the one thing we CAN NOT allow is name calling, i.e. "FF the idiot". I realize it's a pretty soft jab overall, but I think we can all agree that we dont want this board to turn into a big name calling contest. And remember that if you really need to vent, feel free to do so in the 'Behind the Woodshed' forum. Just remember that while some friendly fire is acceptable, member threats are not. Thanks for your cooperation. My apologies. I was out of line.
  2. formerfan, Feel free to move out of Nebraska at any time. Just by your commentsalone, it's pretty obvious that you are less a Nebraskan or Husker fan than anyone I know. I could care less what awful, horrible, no-good, very-bad things you have lived through. You're a bitter, dried up prune. Go join a Barbcat BBS so you can pine over Feckless Frank. Solich was a terrible head Coach. He drove the Huskers right down to mediocre-town. Callahan has to clean up his mess, and he's doing a fine job. Instead of "Bill the Idiot", I proclaim you "formerfan the Idiot".
  3. He'll either be the scout team QB or a 3rd string DB.
  4. I thought Joe Pa died in '01.
  5. Comparing Devaney to Solich?!??? LMAO! Try comparing Jennings to Solich... very appropriate! Once you have that under your hat, take a look at Devaney and Callahan. Granted, Devaney was handed much better talent that Callahan, but I won't be surprised to see the Husker program elevated under Callahan.
  6. Goodman's transfer is probably based on the assault plus some terrible advice. I don't think he was in the competition for a starting position this spring, which says something about his abilities. He wants to be a starting QB in a DivIA program that will showcase his talent for the NFL. I am not sure how that will ever happen now. He should have stayed in wrestling, where he was dominating.
  7. Maine went 3-5 in the Atlantic-10, losing to Delarware, James Madison (good team), Northeastern, Hofstra, and New Hampshire. This bears repeating - they lost to Hofsra. Maine lost their best player on offense (RB Marcus Williams), their best WR (Christian Pereira), and their best player on defense (Brandon McGowen). They have 6 returning starters on offense, 5 on defense. I'm looking forward to the game (hey, I look forward to EVERY game), but I expect a shellacking. Good prep for Wake Forest.
  8. I'd play my best players. If Suh is better than another DLer, play him. The last thing I want to see is seniors playing because "they are seniors". Fine, rotate them in during the senior game, but play your best players!
  9. Put me down for 9 wins. W Maine - should be pulling away by early 3rd quarter W Wake Forest - probably close game W Pittsburgh - interesting to see how they play with their new HC W Iowa State - No repeat of last year ? Texas Tech - 70-10 you say? Not in Lincoln. Payback. W Baylor - not improving, still bottom of South W Missouri - Pinkel's last season, Smith mis-used again ? Oklahoma - with so many starters graduating, they will not be the same. FG! W Kansas - Mangino is slowly improving. ? Kansas State - terrible spring... will they improve ? Colorado - they can stink all season, but still play us hard The Revenge factor is big for both TTU and OU, and KSU and CU will bring their "A" game. I think we'll win two these games (possibly more). For Post-season Play: L BXII CCG to UTerus (If we go - we must win 2+ "?" games to win the North) W Bowl Game 10-3 for the season (or better).
  10. Is formerfan related to bernard (schestev at BHF)?
  11. Is there an ignore feature on this board?
  12. My guess... the configuration files were incompatable or lost with the migration. Or they were corrupted/overwritten.
