This doesn't surprise me. Watching the Stanley Cup playoff games this year they have bounced back and forth between ESPN & TNT depending on whether they have an NBA game on ESPN.

I guess Turner had money to burn after losing the NBA. I think ESPN always does a great job with the production part of the CFP, hopefully Turner is up to the task (and we don't get Charles Barkley breaking down games).
Odd to me that Turner doesn't air any regular season college football or college basketball games, but airs postseason games.
Yep, and my hope is that college football brass sees how excellent these games are in a college football stadium instead of an antiseptic NFL venue and reduces the Bowl imprint to the semi-finals and final game. The ratings will be through the roof, I think the first rounds games are going to be so fun.
I can't wait for 16 teams.Yep, and my hope is that college football brass sees how excellent these games are in a college football stadium instead of an antiseptic NFL venue and reduces the Bowl imprint to the semi-finals and final game.
YES!!! And, warm weather teams having to come north.I can't wait for 16 teams.
First round games at home sites! My god, the atmosphere when NU hosts a playoff game????
Hell do first and second round games on campuses with the final four and championship at a "big" site.
Rose Bowl only wants to hold quarterfinals so that it can keep its Jan 1 slot. And it will always kickoff at 4pm CST (meaning the last quarterfinal game will kick at 8pm CST) because it needs to have the sunset hitting the mountains at the end of the 3rd Q.
LA is Big Ten country. This sucks because its one less post-season game in B1G country, or at least one less opportunity to force the Southeastern teams' fans to have to travel.
