I think he'll be gone by monday. if he remains on the staff and we miss a bowl game then rhule looks like a complete fool.
if satt is let go and we squeak out a win, that is positive momentum going into next year.
when you have people from other teams and random sports analysts laughing at your playcalling, then you should be let go.
offense has been ranked around 100 out of 130 for 2 straight years. not acceptable.

Raiola is waiting for receivers to get open rather than throwing to where they “will be”. This was the biggest issue I had with Adrian Martinez. It takes too long and leads to hurries, sacks, incompletions, picks and receivers getting blown up.
Ultimately it impacts your run game because you’re not a threat in the passing game.
It’s pretty clear how much different he is when he launches the fades. He’s not doing that on regular routes consistently.

I think that’s the most maddening thing about this. It’s not like we don’t have the money, support, facilities or resources to figure this out. Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa and Wis haven’t cracked some impossible code that can’t be replicated. They just go out and hire decent coaches that aren’t completely brain dead.

See, we had that, with Bo but it wasn't enough, which I agree with in terms of we all want "more" but all those coaches from those teams you listed would have been canned at NU.
We are at a "Bo-Floor", we need that 9 win a year coach (James Franklin, who is pretty much PSU-Bo) and we also need to FEEL or actually get into the playoffs.
I just hate that we missed on a guy like Lanning who would have stayed here for 30 years.

I think we need to change the title of this thread to "Which Coaches should be fired" as I see Nebraska's issues are far deeper than just Satterfield. Tony White's defense has underperformed in many games this season. Many assistants are struggling on both sides of the ball. Special teams has been poor all year. I honestly cannot think of any position group that has improved as the season has gone along. Our punter has been the only reliable position this season.

I found these stats from SI.com pretty telling:

It took them 13 plays and 6:01 to go just 53 yards and score on a Dante Dowdell 1-yard run, but the offense wasted nearly 3 minutes on 8 snaps inside the 10-yard line. Then they missed the extra point as they cut the score to 27-20. Poor clock management and a lack of a sense of urgency didn’t seem to help the cause.”
Many of us were griping where is the urgency yesterday, we acted as if we were the team up 13. Not only do we have a brain dead OC who lacks creativity and rhythm but we seem to have a staff and players that lack basic understanding of clock management. Countless times DR didn’t hike the hall until less than 5 seconds on play clock, countless plays that had no chance of getting a first down.

I’m not saying I necessarily want any of them to coach at Neb. But they’ve all reached heights we can only dream of since 2017. They’ve all figured out ways to make a bowl, have a winning season, get ranked, occasionally knock off a rival or ranked team.

Ehhhh, it really was not a huge deal. In the end NU had the ball with plenty of time left to score.

I dunno if I agree with that. What would that last drive have looked like if we had 4-5 mins left down instead of under 2? I’m not gonna pretend like we would’ve seen a competent drive but for being as mediocre as we are we absolutely need to be doing better with things 100% in our control, such as clock management.
we are not good enough talent or coaching wise to overcome self inflicted miscues
But that's emblematic of the poor mental approach by this staff. The team has proven time and again they aren't successful in those situations.
How about pick up the pace and ensure as many possessions as possible until they get the lead, then maybe get into a clock management mode?
