Trump Cabinet

I literally knew nothing about her until reading that link but...

1.  Female

2.  Youngest woman ever elected to Congress

3.  Harvard Grad

It is not like he appointed the My Pillow guy.
Yeah, it seems Buster doesn’t really know why he is raging about the pick other than Trump made it.   She may do good and may do bad, but in the end it’s our representative to the UN which has turned into a BS terrorist supporting entity anyways.   The UN sucks and hopefully we quit funding it at the levels we do.   Give that money to our own citizens in need instead.

Please tell me what foreign policy expertise she has?

And, do you believe the US should support Israel 100%, without question of anything Israel does or has done?

I’m going to have to side with @Moiraine on this.  He has been constantly in the Trump circle throughout the past four years after his stint in the last administration.  He was going to be part of Trump 2.0.

What actually gave you hope he wouldn’t be?
And @Moiraine

I guess it was more my personal view, and wishful thinking. The guy got lots of negative press and rumors the last time...for good reason. I thought he would be one that the new inside circle would advise Trump "no way."

I’m really not trying to pick on you or anything but this reply is baffling to me also. But I think a lot of people who voted for him are probably like you, thinking all of the bad stuff won’t happen because that was just the left fear mongering, and he’ll help the economy so he’ll help me.

There was never any reason to think he wouldn’t add Miller, or not try to do everything in Project 2025.

Yeah tbh the Trump lying about project 2025 thing was just insane that anyone believed it. His followers really ate it up though. They still talk like he is not connected to it at all.

While we’re on this topic…

Why would anyone not be at least a little concerned about getting rid of experts in the federal government and replacing them with partisans.

Would someone really set that precedent if they thought there was a 45% chance the Democrats would have the presidency again in the next 4-8 years, which under normal trends is probably more like 55%? I feel this is something you do if you don’t think they will ever have the presidency again, because you won’t let that happen.

You don’t make it easy to put partisans in independent positions if you are planning on giving up power, because you’d expect the other side to do the same thing.

Also, everyone should agree with this but they won’t, replacing experts every 4-8 years based on the presidency is a s#!t idea. It’s going to make our government less capable. I feel I’m an expert at my job but I’d say it took me 3-4 years to feel that way.
