Economy

Personally, I look forward to the Trump 25% -at a minimum- tariffs on goods. The American people are getting what they deserve - a level of super massive stupidity that represents them. They deserve what's coming and I feel zero compassion for what they're likely to endure.

Do you live in the US? From a lot of your replies, I seriously have no idea if you do.

I do, why would you think otherwise?

Just because I sincerely hope that voters get exactly what they voted for? The American public voted for tariffs and mass deportation to fix inflation, they deserve the opportunity to see if they're right.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Trump is genuinely smarter than everybody else and it all goes swimmingly.

Gotta admit even I wondered for a second based on your use of the word “they.”

Unless you’re just implying you feel no kinship with anyone who enthusiastically elected the orange menace. In which case I get it.

Sorry if I was unclear, I do have that problem. "They" refers to Trump voters.

They either agreed with his tariff/deportation policies to lower costs or they weren't adults, didn't educate themselves, and voted based on vibes. They deserve to see if their choice was the right or wrong one.

In the meantime, I hope Democrats reform and do much needed soul searching. Their electoral success is predicated on Trump being a moron, but one day he'll be gone. They need to figure out a viable coalition/policy platform while simultaneously enjoying electoral success because of likely GOP overreach.

Monday morning, gas station by my business was $2.48 gal. Drove by there 3 hours later and it was raised to $2.89.  Fúckin’ Joe Biden.

That's pretty crazy. Don't believe I've ever seen a $.40 cent raise in a day...let alone a few hours.

Definitely would not give that station my business.

LOL. Lotsa water carrying in this article.  Anyone here feeding 10 people at Thanksgiving for 10 people.  HAHA.  I know if not even close to that price.

That marks the second year in a row the price of the meal retreated from its 2022 high. The average cost is $58.08 for 10 people, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation's (AFBF) study, which dates back 39 years. The total price is down 5% from last year and is 4.5% lower than in 2022, when the supper commemorating the 1621 harvest feast with the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people soared to a peak of $64.02.
