Dylan Raiola

Teams do have video on Dylan. He still holds on to the ball too long. He has difficulties. I think a lower-level team would take him before a playoff contender. But I also know the Raiola family had done their due diligence. If he doesn't have a place to go already? He doesn't enter the portal.

You left out that he has the mobility of a blocking TE.

Agree that he already has a place to go.

It could be a tactic to get more money. He can always come out. Didn't EJ go into the portal last year?

Makes me extremely curious as to what the exact chain of events was here. It doesn't actually matter, I'm just curious. Was it:
  • Rhule decided to fire Donovan first, and then Dominic & Dylan got upset and said "we're transferring?"
  • Did Rhule get wind that Dylan was leaving no matter what and then fired Donnie?

Now that he's off the team I'm just going to go ahead and say this. Wasn't going to say it previously...but I was really getting tired of the Patrick Mahomes LARPing.

Going to miss Raiola's play a ton and I think this is actually a big loss. But I'm happy to be done with the cringey LARPing.

What if the Dylan we saw for 2 years is the real Dylan. That even with better coaches and players around him he still makes the same mistakes. Can’t make the throws. Holds onto the ball too long etc

Be interesting to see if he improves (blame NU staff) or remains the same (Dylan was the issue). No guarantees he transfers to a better school or has more success.

Regardless, best of luck. I’ll follow just to see how he does.

Next man up. Hope TJ stays and is ready to work.

+1 for the use of the term "LARPing"

My understanding is Rhule talked to dom about letting Donovan go when he went down to watch Daltons last game and that started the domino affect. just what I heard for what its worth..

Just disappointing all around. He could have a much better offensive line in front of him here next year.

Also in this world of NIL I want to see contracts for players to stay at a school for so many years etc.

Right now players can get their cash and then leave right after and what recourse do schools have?

I'm not saying that is what Dylan is doing but this sport has gotten kind of out of control.
