Dylan Raiola

We have an entire forum for this kind of thread...

I am curious how history will judge the Raiola years. He sure brought a lot of momentum into the program and was supposed to be the magnet to turn this program around. However we have hovered near .500 with Raiola on the team, and now we are looking at a complete overhaul of players and some staff heading into next season.
He was surely on his way to being shoehorned into the ring of honor Shedeur style.

I am surprised by the hate for DR. In my mind, fans initiated his departure by over inflating TJ’s ability against an uncoached UCLA team. Sure, he (and his team) shouldn’t look at social media for validation, but the level of sprew was cringy. He did nothing except break his leg. He didn’t beat a girl, rob a store, or do gang activities He was a great advocate for the University.

Wandale R is the only other guy I can remember of a high caliber that transferred out and it doesn’t seem like fans hate him.

Odd that Oregon has Akili Smith Jr 2025 recruit at QB. Dude was #1 dual threat class of 25...6'5 231lbs....Lanning really got plans to use Raiola? I mean all the QB's are dual threat guys, but DR. Really surprised. DR has talent/potential, but not as a mobile QB.

It boils down to the $ he got...made a couple mil and bounces. Not that the team success was all on him, but when you take in a big chunk of the pot, hard to not be salty towards him.

I think also that bc he made those hype videos of him talking about a natty and his commitment video that featured a poem and then he goes silent and really just dips out the back door leaves a bad taste in a lot of the husker fans eyes. I don't think he owns us a thank you but a little appreciation saying thank you goes a long way in how your remember.

I predict the fanbase as a whole would have been about .001% less salty and pissy towards Dylan if he made a big statement post about leaving.
