This isn’t about equipment quality, it’s about the visual graphics and what kids see on champions, influencers, pro athletes, etc. Nike dominates the football world and sponsors all the top programs. Not even a competition. Failing to understand a large part of the youth and what attracts them is on you.

The 1950's? What are we talking about here? Pelini coached well enough to win a Big 12 title and we were relevant every year. We went to a bowl game every year. We were in the top 10 at times. BUT we didn't have the top coach in the nation at the time and 9-10 wins a year was not good enough since we were still in the conversation of titles.
