Well at least fans aren't over reacting right now.

You get used to it. Ever since the formation of the BTN, the other sports media has gone out of their way to tear down the Big 10.

 

This, and the media is pandering to people in the south because of population shifts, to a degree--hence all the love for the SEC.

 

Problem is, these things are cyclical, and population will eventually move back up north, and the internet will be around to remind everyone what douchebags Dodd and Finebaum are.

This has nothing to do with population. You do realize as well the most densely populated part of the nation is in the northeast region as well? This has to do with the SEC being the most succesful conference over the last decade, and the Big 10 being less than stellar in bowl games and as a league overall.

It can get rough.

You know whats not fair? The fact that Wisconsin can score 3 points, we score 20 points, and Wisconsin is still picked to win.

Shawn Watson solves another mystery.

Can't believe we're still having this discussion since all the "evidence" is fakes. We're wearing our road uniforms.

 

In all fairness, this has been written off by the NU Equipment people as a real helmet they received from another school then changed with Nebraska logos and that it is a fake. The image appears to be staged. Their twitter post was originally about the gloves but then if that is the case why the odd framing and including that much excess to the subject of the photo? This was then followed by the black jersey mock ups that were badly photoshopped and proved to be fakes but then followed by the images of the new flat black finished helmet. The fact that there is an image out there of a new model flat black helmet in existence adds the most clout to the argument.

Add to that the fact that Tom Osborne himself called for a "Black Out" in Wisconsin indicates a hint of front office desire for the team and its fans to stand out and it makes sense that there is something up their sleeves.

 

However, because it is still only very denied rumor, for me it is just something fun to have as a side conversation and provide some of my renderings to what it could be. If they have black or not, the game gets played and thats all that matters.

 

Sorry if you knew all that already, just get that way sometimes.

I think its fair to say that this one is for sure photoshopped. You can see the blur around the edges and a little black is bleeding into the 3 on Martinez's jersey. If we were to go black though, I'd be all for these. They keep the classic style look, just with black instead. They're not trying to be pro-combats or anything crazy, just plain old Nebraska jerseys that happen to be black

Laramie as a town is not good. Wyoming as a state though is amazing. I wonder how many of these players tweeting this thought the same exact thing when they were flying into Lincoln from Cali, big city TX, or Florida.
