  1. somebody wanna fill me in about this Cyrus Hobbi thing? I feel stupid...

My comment was based on the fact that after his visit last year Hobbi said his decision became harder, essentially the same thing as what Foster said. Not that we were leading the pack or that we moved up his list, just that we made his decision harder. Mostly when people have brought up Hobbi lately it was because he brought a friend with him on his official visit instead of a parent. Long story slightly less long he was never as interested in Nebraska as we the fans thought he was. He was just enjoying the recruiting process and the perks of being highly sought after.

    ah i see. thanks.

  2. Well I'm no professional coach or anything, but that was the first thought that popped into my head after Braxton Miller's second or third long run: put a QB spy on him. It can be so effective, like when USC played Illinois in the Rose Bowl I'm pretty sure... Juice Williams was a huge threat, and USC put Maualuga(spelling) on him the whole game as a spy. Juice couldn't do anything! But oh well, I trust in Pelini. Whatever he does is 100x better than anything I could do with the team.

  3. There's no reason not to think that we can win the rest of our games. I think the Defense found its swagger last night, and the toughest game on the schedule will be Michigan. They are a very one-dimensional offense, and if we make Shoelace try to beat us with his arm, chances are we come out ahead, assuming that our offense makes the plays they need to. Let's win 'em all!!!

  4. It's no question to anybody with half a brain that our defense has not been tackling worth a crap, but as I stated in another thread post, I noticed before Miller went down with an injury that our D was playing with a newfound swagger like we did last season. It came right after SJB came in at corner. I can see this defense improving big-time through the next few weeks and hopefully being up-to-par when we play Michigan, which will most likely be the play-in for the conference chapionship game. I can see this team winning every game the rest of the reg season.

  5. He's fine. He went back into the game after the training staff pulled him out. From what I saw on that play, it just looked like one of our players came flying in as Crick was making the tackle and knocked his helmet off with their knee. I'm sure it hurt getting that facemask ripped across his face, but he will be fine...

  6. Sooooo.... let me get this straight for you people who are critical of Bo.... You would rather have him go to the press conference and kneel down in front of the reporters, begging forgiveness?...

HELL NO!! I love Bo the way he is 100%. You wanna get rid of him or change him? Get ready for another ten years of "rebuilding" or "restoring" this team. This team WILL be back in the BCS hunt sooner than later, and by that I mean within the next 2 years. My guess is next year, but if not then the year after. The Defense appeared to find their physical swagger last night, even before Miller went down. I expect steady improvement on both sides of the ball the rest of the year and a tough game vs. Michigan to slug it out for an appearance in the 1st ever B1G title game. Support this team, and support our coach that so many of us lobbied for years ago. GBR!!!

  7. They care. This team is trying. They are frustrated...let's have their backs, guys.

I have the teams back but its obvious Bo could give two sh#ts about the fan base!

Maybe because if we don't play a perfect game, every negative fan in Nebraska pisses on his leg....

  8. I think if the coaching staff cared about the perception of Taylor, they would never have him pass the ball. Even if he completes 100% of his passes people will still say, "What is that throwing motion?!" Maybe if they keep it on the ground and have Rex throw it whenever they call a pass play, people will forget how T-Mart throws the ball and begin to love him...

  9. Don't get me wrong VA husker fan. I stated that i also like to debate the x and o's and other aspects of the game, but when it transitions to getting personal by bashing players and coaches, who you know will read it or catch wind of it, what good does that do. Questioning a play call and calling a defensive back the worst ever are totally two different things, wouldn't you agree.

I'm with you. Yeah, Saturday's game in Madison was an embarrassing loss as a Husker fan, but from what I have seen, the players and coaches have responded well and shown to everyone that they are a family. This defense WILL be great again, and sooner than later. They are just young.

  10. It doesn't look bad, but I'll be a little upset if this is on the field for years to come. This year is fine, but our field looks good without it, imo

Oh boy, people... throwin away years of tradition, now we will never win another game again because of the logo on the field and for that reason only... :sarcasm

  11. Enough of this poor officiating crap. Wisconsin has a really powerful offense with a really good QB who adds another dimension to it. Good luck to the Badgers the rest of the season, and hopefully we can teach our QB how to read coverages and also find the answers we are looking for on defense. The reffing looked good compared to what we are used to, probably extremely fair at that. Like Bo keeps saying, this is the point we were at in the beginning of his first season here, and by the end of that season, our D was pretty respectable. Don't panic after one loss, no matter how horrible of a loss it was.

    GBR!!!
