  1. Solid write up redux. +1.

I most wanted Nebraska to develop a rivalry with Penn State but these things take a while, decades really, to develop and I don't see it happening now that you're in separate divisions. I don't know the Nebraska/Iowa dynamic so I have no idea if you will become rivals. Border =/= automatic rivals.

As far as Wisconsin goes I'm not sure that a rivalry will develop. If anything it will be like the Michigan State - Wisconsin relationship. It took decades and decades to get the Badgers where they are with Iowa and Minnesota. But hey if you really want to jump in our hate triangle go right ahead. :cheers. We can make it a quadrangle of hate but you have to agree to hate Minnesota to fit in.

  2. I am going to give credit to Excel (Bucky) for this prediction, as it was his equation that I used to calculate a win-lose record.

In the end, I got a 11-1 regular schedule record (with the only lose coming to Northwestern) and a B1G CC Win vs either Ohio St or Michigan St. Looks like the games at Fresno St and Iowa are close. Here's my work. Excel can let us know if I misread his equation. Win = >50, Lose = <50.

Here is where I got my returning starters' data (A1 and B1), http://www.collegefootballuniverseblog.com/1/post/2013/04/college-football-returning-starters-2013.html

Here is where I got my winning record stats (A2-4 and B2-4), http://football.stassen.com/records/h-win-pct.html

    Here is Excel's equation,

Personally, I think we should be a little more leery about the Miami, Michigan St, and Wisconsin games, but the math is what it is.

Dude that's awesome. I know that takes a lot of work. :cheers

From the states that brought you victory in the Civil War, most of the food you eat and the gripping depression of the Rust Belt: The Big Ten Subforum! We're still relevant! ©

    C'mon...you know better than that....

    Who won it then?

    Not Nebraska

Yea but every other Big Ten State did and most of the Union States are now in the Big Ten so it fiits...or not...it was a joke anyhow.

Sound slike Vikings thought they had a deal with Philly for that pick but Cleveland snuck in late.

Vikes were about to go get JF....

    Interesting to say the least.

I bet Vikings trade u in to 1st round to take Teddy.

JFF would have been interesting at Minny. His attitude fits that franchise perfectly. I wish it would have happened.

Not really man. Zimmer is a no-nonsense environment.

I think that was a lame hit on my team... not so nice.

Not meant as a lame hit it's just my opinion. You know I don't like them, if I wanted to throw out lame zingers I would.

  6.

Brady Quinn 2.0....and no one ever heard anything from JFF ever again.

    more like mccoy 2.0.

True that, this could be a fun game, name the QB's that have gone to Cleveland and disappeared forever...

  7.

What is so bad? Someone please explain.

As a Nebraska fan, how could you be happy? When Nebraska first joined they were playing the blue bloods of NCAA football like Michigan and OSU, plus there was a guaranteeed cross over rival with Penn State.

Now, the Big 10 has added two absolutely horrible football programs with Rutgers and Maryland, and abolished the crossover rival and created the weakest division in NCAA football in the west division.

Conference re-alignment has killed NCAA football, but more importantly to here, it has killed Nebraska football's rival events.

In all fairness the Big XII and 90's realignment killed NU's best rivalry. The B1G just pulled a bait and switch on NU.

  8. This is a tough one. It has to present a friendly, serious and slightly upbeat perspective that other HB subforum descriptions have but I'm at a loss for things to say.

    Words/phrases to use:

    "A place to discuss"

    "Prestigious program"

    "Historic Conference"

I just can't string them together all nice.
