So my wife and were REALLY excited when we were able to get two tickets to the game this weekend.... Now..... not so much. Most people in Columbus are now laughing at us, where they used to be jealous of us..... I am expecting a beat down that will remind you of the Big 8 games you used to play. I need some advice from the friendly Cornhusker fans for a rookie coming to his first game in Lincoln. First off, we are flying in early Saturday morning to Kansas City. We will get a rental car and then lunch before heading to Lincoln. We love BBQ and are thinking of heading to Jack Stacks or Arthur Bryant. Any thoughts on this. We plan on being at the restaurant when the doors open - 11AM. Here's my real problem. How to get to Lincoln. My original thought was to go up I-29, maybe into Omaha, and then double back to Lincoln, that would allow us to stay on the interstate. However, I now hear that I-29 is really messed up due to floods and should be avoided. Should we take I-70 out of KC, head to Manhattan Kansas and then head due north? We'd love to get something for dinner before the game, but we have to pick up our tickets at the OSU Alumni Assoc and they will have food for us there! And advice would be great appreciated!!
