That "if it hits your hands you catch it" is such a crock. Yes, we are dropping too many fairly routine balls (and this really seems to be BK), but a lot of the incompletions that people are calling drops are balls that would be way above average catches. Yes, you need to make some of those catches, but they are not "drops". The ball in the first half that Bell dove for and got both hands on it. That would have been a spetacular catch, it was not a drop.

 

TM again seems to get better each week. Not perfect, but the guy is certainly making numerous winning plays every game lately.

With the D line consistently in the backfield when T-Magic get the ball, Yes I think he is playing lights out. Our O-line is filled with no fire powder puffs. Great job Taylor!

Two things. First of all if you go to PSU and you are looking for trouble you WILL find it. Emotions are high there and no you are not going to be able to beat up anyone at 65 years of age and should not put yourself or your family in that position. Second and not to question you but if you were providing combat medicine to Marines you would be a Corpsman. As a former Army Ranger Medic just wanted to help you clarify things. Just go to the game and enjoy yourself without looking for trouble and represent Husker Nation with distinction.

It is not the coaches and scheme necessarily. It is that we have some real numbskulls playing on both sides of the ball not making plays. We are our own worst enemy. Always. and until we start recruiting superior football players you will bite your nail each week wondering who will miss a block or a tackle or miss a catch.

I might add that this NU team is not only small but slow. Recruiting, recruiting, recruiting and more recruiting. This will define whether or not Pelini is a success at NU. These next few years will define if he has a job in year eight. In my opinion of course.

This Nebraska team cannot seem to motivate themselves for whatever reason and are beating themselves AGAIN! This same song is getting old!

The question should be when can we recruit players that can catch, block and tackle on a consistent basis?

Why in the world would you risk your life by wearing Husker gear there and make yourself a target? No way. No football game is worth that.

Here is the thing I just want to see NU not beat themselves. Catch the ball, Make a block, run the ball and tackle. Then see what happens. No more poor play from either side of the ball. If Nebraska comes out and looks ill prepared again then you will really see the lynch mob calling for heads. Just avoid all of that and play good sound football. Can this team do it?

Will it be the one that is focused, prepared and motivated like they were versus Sparty? or

Will it be the deer in the headlights, everyone waiting for someone else to make a play?

I want to see 100% effort and focus. Go Big Red!

The reason why we lost is simple. Playing way too many freshmen, not playing with fire and attitude and not making plays.

It is very obvious that we need an upgrade in the talent department. Recruiting, Recruiting, Recruiting.

Barry was a great example of not being the best coach but he recruited the best talent. That is why he won and beat TO and TO was a far superior coach.

No, doing the right thing would have resulted in him calling the police. Now Paterno and everyone else with knowledge of the alleged crime should be sent to prison for life. If this is true it is very sickening!

Also, if this happened in the 1990's then the alleged victims should be able to testify by now since they would be old enough.

While I do not agree with firing Pelini. Pelini had his team flat today and needs a kick in the pants. He needs to learn from his mistakes and do a much better job. Period. If I dont make my sales quota I may not get fired but I can tell you that I will have to answer questions as to why I was not a success for the month. Bo and his staff need to kick things in gear like recruiting, demanding discipline, getting his guys in the friggin weight room, etc..

This is getting old. Folks complain when people get to passionate then complain when they don't. The Huskers just need to win against the Northwestern's of the world even if there were no one in the stands.

This is how we got in this position in the first place. With people that called for Solich to be fired! Heck I can remember when Osborne was getting run out of town but luckily he wasn't. This will be a long road to get back to being dominant again. I think Pelini is a great Defensive mind but not necessarily a head coach, Yet. He will get there but it will be a while. I do feel your frustration and do not think you are a bad fan because you expect excellence. I also get miffed when the team I love plays like a bunch of girl scouts but they will get better.

There needs to be an age limit. No more silverbacks and blue hairs in the stadium. Maybe we need to sell tequila at the stadium as well
