  1. We have now beat each of the big boyz int the Big10 in our first 2 years. I liked the the offense did well against the number 10 d in the country the D did a great job aginst the healthy Denard. I was a bit concerned the the run game took so long to get going.

It's kind of bizarre how each of our Big Ten results from last year have been reversed this year. Let's hope that doesn't continue to happen during the next four weeks!

  2. i cannot nail down who this team is week to week. except to say that our offense is pretty good, we have scored on everyone we've played.

our turnovers and penalties kill us.

so, to say ANY game is going to be the hardest or easiest discounts that we could turn the ball over 4 times and have 85yds in penalties on any given day.

until I personally see us go 3-4-5 weeks in a row with no turnovers and few penalties, i'm going to assume every game will be difficult. Winnable, but difficult

Unfortunately, this is exactly true. I'm just hoping/begging that we play a complete game this Saturday.

  3. I wouldn't drive all that way and then go to a fast food place. Nebraska has a lot more to offer than Runza and Valentinos (which I both like...but I'm in NE a little more than he is). Just my opinion though. If you're staying in Omaha then you need to get down to Old Market Friday night when you get there.

I disagree with KC. I'm from Nebraska, but I don't live there anymore. When I come back into town, Mom meets me at the airport with a bag full of Runzas of all different varieties. Also, go to a Valentino's buffet in the restaurant, not just one kind of pizza.

  4. It's weird how we're beating all of the teams we lost to last year, but we're losing to all of the teams we beat last year. That makes me worry about MSU and Iowa.

Of course, I'm worried about Saturday, too. I'd be thrilled if we finished 4-1.

  5. Can we put Mongo in at DT?

    BACK ON TOPIC!!

Taggart: I got it! I got it!

    Hedley Lamarr: You do?

Taggart: We'll work up a Number 6 on 'em.

Hedley Lamarr: [frowns] "Number 6"? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.

Taggart: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a-whompin' and a-whumpin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course.

Hedley Lamarr: You spare the women?

Taggart: Naw, we rape the sh#t out of them at the Number Six Dance later on.

    Hedley Lamarr: Marvelous!

  6. The entire game I kept thinking about how losing Carl, Crick and David has really changed things for us defensively. I hope Papuchis and Bo can whip these guys into shape. It's one game. We can still improve.

Also our LB's. Wow. We definitely need some help there too.

I agree that they can improve, but we held a team that was ranked higher than us last year to fewer than 300 yards and 13 points. That's not bad.

  7. knappic,

Any news about starting center on the O line?

im not knapplc, but they said pensick has been taking some snaps at guard all week, along with center. My guess is they are looking for capable back ups in case on of the starters goes down. We need to stay healthy on the line or its going to be a long season.

This tells me that Justin Jackson has won the center position. You don't hear about Choi or Long experimenting with position changes because they are locked in as ones.
