  1. I can only think of 1 three that wasn’t contested. Then we started closing too hard in the three’s and then there was all the offensive rebounds. If we’re gonna comeback I think we need to make them prove it from three and protect the paint. If they hit em again we lose. If we keep on giving up point blank put backs we lose. Gotta defend the higher percentage looks to have any chance

Agree.  I have zero faith in them beating anyone on the road.

Being that it is the roller coaster that is Nebrasketball, we will probably knock off Illinois on the road, and then Michigan.... I won't say it out loud

    Yeah.

Now I wouldn't really want either guy being the QB that's trying to throw on that 2nd & goal from the 6 at the end of the first half against Minnesota where Sims throws the INT.

But that game was pretty win-able regardless if Grant doesn't fumble. We're a fumble and a false start (in the same game) away from being a 5-2 team right now because of how good our defense is.

Yeah, the grant fumble hurt too, but the pic immediately after the fumble was terrible also.

Neither QB is ideal. But my point is I don’t think that saying either guy would have won the 4 games that HH won is a given. I actually get the feeling that JS would have made a mistake or 4 to lose us at least one of those games.

In my opinion it feels like HH has done less to hurt the team and has yet to make any mistakes that has cost us games. For that I’m rolling with HH for the rest of this year or until he gets as or more wreckless than JS.

I’m just enjoying winning a few games again. I don’t care how ugly it is GBR

Can we please stop with this narrative? Colorado is DFL in Total Defense - Dead Frickin Last.  There offense is good so they've won some games but their defense is literally the worst defense in FBS.

And northwestern beat Minnesota. Who (checks notes) beat Nebraska, ironically I think the quarterback who played that game had a couple detrimental turnovers.

I think Rhule should have gone for full rebuild year 1.  When you 1 game with all new guys.  Build for the future.  At least this way he could sya I started true fresh and new players....Morally, it'd be a "win".

And when we won 1 game the whole fanbase would have been calling him an idiot for cutting so many players “would have been better with this guy and that guy”. There’s really no winning with husker fans.

I mean it was 7-7 at half yesterday (and 14-7 entering the 4Q).  And at times (at least to me) had that feeling of "here we go again".

That’s fair to say. Maybe it’s the numbness to all the bad starting to set in. That being said even when the score was close I felt like we were more in control of the game. I guess for whatever reason. Maybe it was the alcohol easing the nerves. But I never felt like we were going to lose yesterday. The rain delay maybe gave me a little flashback though haha.

Ans so did every other major D1 school.  Don't go to the dark side on this!

There’s no way to prove it, but I thought it was a miss 3 years ago. Some times rather than taking a chance on some of these over seas kids I feel like we should take a chance on higher talent in staters.

I mean ... he's averaging 6 assists per game.  That would have been 12th in the country last year.

The problem is all players NOT named Verge have 4 assists ON THE YEAR.  That's pathetic.

Problem is, he dribbled himself to trouble and only passes when it’s a near automatic assist on the stat sheet. The ball sticks with him

bad. More players would have assists if he would just catch and swing the ball quickly. But every time he Gets the ball he looks to see if he can score first rather than just keeping the offense moving. That being said I think we were in need of a guy who can break down the defense off the dribble. Just needs to figure out when to pick those moments. We really need him so hopefully he finds the flow of the offense

I'm not sure the defense is as good next year with all the super seniors finally leaving. He might look at the cupboard and say see ya.

I think the cupboard is far from bare. As long as the majority of the "super juniors" come back. The year of Covid eligibility definitely has made things weird and a little unpredictable though. But if so, our D-line and line backers should still be very solid next year. Secondary is the biggest question mark on who fills the 2 safety positions and the corner. But I would also argue that's our weakest place anyways so maybe a year of development for some younger guys might make us better off there anyways.
