How about we just lock all the threads pertaining to MJ and this incident until ALL the facts come out.   This would allow most to have civil discussions about the other things going on with Husker football, like other assistant hirings and recruiting.

Yeah, good luck with that one :)

Just spit balling here:  Could the strangulation be  another person? Let's say another man in the house?  Would that change the narrative?

Might change the narrative, but not the crime.  The university would still be forced to cut ties with him, but I ain't gonna lie....if most dudes came home and found another dude in my bed with the wife, they ain't chokin the dude.

I am sure it’s disappointing for the players who played under Mickey, but that’s where Rhule can say “hey, I will be here for you guys if you ever want to come chat with me”.

Maybe this will enable fans to stop giving these coaches a god-like status, and see them as human beings who make mistakes. I will never understand how Mickey was so revered in the first place during his time at NU.

This.  Same with all of them.  They are human beings, and have the same hang ups, vices, and blemishes as the normal Joe.  They just happen to make tons more money and have a platform that elevates them in society.

I really really don’t want to question this because I like Mickey quite a bit but what makes you think he is qualified to be a HC? I mean sure, he has a better than average chance but I would say he is a long ways from having proven it. Maybe at a lower level school but certainly not D1….not yet.

If I were him, I'd want to make it on my own at a smaller school OR be on this staff (if there is room) and any success translates to his career.

Old video (for me).  Might be new to you.

Would welcome anyone to watch this (19 mins) when you have time after dinner (???)

This is his 1st year at Baylor and after they won only 1 game.

    Son of a preacher man.

I followed Baylor and always respected him.  Humility, honesty, passionate and driven.

Watched this last night.  Much props to the man to admit he was having marital issues publicly.

We better be 4-0 going into the Michigan game.  Must wins for me are Minnesota, Colorado, NI, LA Tech, Northwestern, Iowa.  If any of these games are losses...Houston, we have a problem.

    Seriously?

You do know that Minnesota is an 8-4 team, right?

Why does Rhule have to win his first game but Frost only won one of his season openers?

  7. Not sure how he was THIRD team all conference by the coaches, unless there's some butt hurt coaches out there. Dude finished the season comparable with Marvin Harrison Jr.

    He had

    • One less catch
    • Only 114 yards fewer
    • 3 less TDs
    • A higher average YPC
    • basically one fewer catch per game
    • and less than 10 yards less average yards per game

    How, sway?!?

  8. And here's the 2019 OT Thriller between OU and Baylor.  in 2019, they played a ranked opponent 3 times.  Just so happened that OU was ranked the two times they played them, and then they lost the Sugar Bowl to Georgia by two scores.

They had a 25 point lead on OU in the regular season and had the game won but then Jalen Hurts went unconscious and erased that 25 point lead in the 2nd half.  Baylor was the 13th ranked team in the country at that time.

  9. So I did some looking at Rhule's year one 2017 Baylor team that only won a single game.
These guys were a few missed plays from upsetting the #3 ranked team in the country, and had a lead on them for a bit in the 3rd quarter.

This is an OU team that had a Heisman Trophy winner, CeeDee Lamb, and Trey Sermon that went to the CFB playoff that year and lost to Georgia.
