  1. Get a grip.  Frost is not going anywhere.  You can't keep changing coaches every three years.  I'm just as frustrated as anyone but the loss can is on a lack of execution on a few plays that changed the score.  Strange year,  hope 2021 is better.

I've pretty much heard the same spiel for the past 15 years, yet every year we're plagued with penalties and undisciplined play. Just tired of all the excuses.

Agree.  Can't win games when you make stupid mistakes.

  3. If you want to be respected by the rest of the country you play the best schedule you can.  The game is won or lost on the field not on this web-site.  I think the Big did us a favor with the schedule, lets play football.

I agree with everything you said except for the bolded.  It wasn't common at all for Nebraska or Iowa to produce five star recruits back in the 90's.  A lot of those OL and DL did come from the 500 mile radius and did come from Nebraska.  However, several were walk-ons like Adam Treu and Joel Wilks.  After doing a bit of research, I see that Iowa has never produced a five star recruit and Nebraska hasn't produced a five star recruit since 2000.  Back in TO's day, he recruited more to a body type than anything else and let Tenopir mold them into OL.  Most of these guys were relatively unheard of by the rest of the top teams.

Thats one of the points I am trying to make,  it takes time to turn a program around and become a top ten program.  Too many people are still living in the glory years,  Nebraska has a good coach, he is one of us, he knows more about the traditions and the program than any of us will ever know.  It's going to take time!!!

Why though 5 game into year 2? I wouldn't he calling for heads thats for sure

Coach of the year and a former Nebraska player and you are down on him?  The reason we are in this situtation is because of the turnover of the staff every 3-5 years.  If you think you are going to get a better coach to come to Nebraska, I think you are kidding yourself.  Nebraska won in the last decade because of consistency and doing things the Nebraska way.  Nebraska has gotten away from that and the past twenty years are proof!!!  It's going to take consistency and time to change this program into a top ten program.

That’s fine but we could be recruiting better than we are right now.

I hate to say this but,  Nebraska has not been a top program for years.  It's cold, in the middle of no where and has lost the swagger that we had in the 90's. I think we have the right coach at Nebraska know.  Give him time.  Look at all the top teams in the country, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Clemson, teams from warm weather areas.  The Ohio States and Michigans still have the swagger and the recruting base within 500 miles.  If you look back to the 90's most of the OL line and DL came from the 500 mile radius and many came from Nebraska.  When is the last time Nebraska or Iowa produced five star recruits that went to Nebraska?  That being said I agree we need to beef up the OL and the DL to get competitive again. Changing coaching staffs every 3 to 5 years gives you what we have at Nebraska right know!!!

You keep reiterating this point on multiple threads, but at a certain point you've got to at least put some of the blame on Martinez. It's bush league to just deflect all it towards the offensive line. He has been inconsistent in his passing all season long. Sans the first game, the whole high-snap thing hasnt really been an issue. What I mean by that is that there is one or two a game, but this isn't some scapegoat that everyone was using for South Alabama.

He looks off. I'm not sure if its the weight he put on, or what, but something is different. His touch isn't there at all. He left J.D. out to dry all last game and he was throwing to ghosts this game. I'm not ready to give up on him, I think he's got spectacular talent and potential, but I wonder if he's overthinking things a bit too much. Similar to Mund at A&M, these guys are dual-threat and when they spend too much time in the pocket running through progressions, they lose half of what makes them special.

Makes sense.  He dose not look the same as last year!

Woah this is genius and I'm sure they haven't though about that. Quick someone get a line to Frost that he needs to tell the kids to get better. That's what will fix it.

You're only as good as the caliber of the players on the team.  It showed last night who has the five star athletes and who has what has been many years of poor recruiting.

  9. The problem with the officiating is when the flag is thrown.  How many times is it thrown at a crucial time in the game that changes the momentum of the game.It seems to happen in all the Big 10 games I have watched this year.

  10. I love how this board is so up and down on the coaching staff.  Its the first year for this staff and shows what coaching is all about.  The players are starting to see the buy in that coach Frost was talking about.  Love to see Nebraska playing hard and still in the game.  The turn around has started.  Know get the officiating on a level playing field and I will be happy.

  11. In collage I learned in stats class anything can be proven using math to show your hypnosis is correct.  The fact remains that no holding calls in two years in the Big 10 can't  be because other teams don't hold players from Nebraska.  They just don't call them.  Holding can be called on any play in the game and is one of the most call penalties in the game.  How many times has Nebraska been called for a penalty when it matters to most.  I strongly believe that we have been on the wrong end of many calls that have changed the momentum and the final outcome of the game.

By the way, for all the geniuses on this board that think the refs are not biased against us, I hope this game has opened your eyes. Stanley Morgan was held on the third and 10 play and everyone in the universe including the aliens of Mars saw it and the refs did not blow the whistle, yet on Minnesota ‘s touchdown, our defender was held yet the refs let it go. We have to play against the opponent and the zebras in every game.

I said this last week.  Look what happens when don't get called for PI and Ruffing the passer.  I think the real proof is in the fact we had no holding calls go our way in two years of play in the Big 10.  That was mind blowing.
