Something on my mind the past few weeks is that 9/11 was a resounding victory for Bin Laden. I believe he aimed to destroy us from within, likely via financial means that would lessen our status on the global stage, but that one attack shifted this country down a path so radical that we are tearing this country apart with glee. The insurrection on the capitol feels like a culmination of that, but I'm not so blind as to ignore that it's just one more milestone.

“We provided the Biden team over 300 transition meetings, including the very first one on Warp Speed which I kicked off myself,” former Health and Human Services chief of staff Brian Harrison told National Review. “The idea that they’re walking in, having no clue what was going on, is absolutely preposterous.”

Your source has a front page implying CNN is against free speech, transgenders being allowed to serve in the military is a PR stunt, a feature piece saying that teachers unions are holding the nation hostage, two different negative pieces on a second Trump impeachment, loads of ridicule on Biden, and one more piece saying you aren't a real journalist if you enjoy the new press secretary.

I don't know how you expect us to trust this article when there wasn't even one focus piece on Obama or the Clintons at the top of their front page.

Would be spectacular if those wizards of smart in Congress wouldn’t use 2019 tax returns to give assistance to people affected by a 2020 plague.

Anyone who made $75,000 or less in 2019 gets the full amount, or $150,000 for married couples. $600 was never going to mean anything to the people who make more than that.

Go on spewing s#!t everywhere though.

More people were vaccinated on Wednesday than Biden’s actual daily goal three months from now  :dunno

How many of those vaccinated work in facilities that can easily administer a vaccine? How many of those vaccinated are incredibly high risk and eager for a shot?

It's going to get a hell of a lot harder to vaccinate 1 million Americans in any given day when you are trying to get the general public at large to do this. You are fighting exponentially more complicated logistics, peoples' work schedules, accessibility concerns, and perhaps biggest of all, the apathy and beliefs of the American people.

Let's set aside the tens of millions of anti-science and political cultists and use me as an example. I'm 29 years old, work M-F 8-5, haven't seen a doctor since I was 18 because I have zero health concerns, no one I know has had even minor complications from the virus, and I've welcomed contracting Covid just for the break from work. I'm not afraid of this thing at all. How do you convince me to get the vaccine? I believe that I will be just fine without it and don't particularly care to use my limited free time or PTO to go do something I don't have to. Are you expecting me to get this shot TWICE just to help some faceless people?

I will be getting the vaccine when I can, because I do understand the importance despite lack of personal fear of the virus. I imagine it will be relatively easy whenever that time may come, given that I live in the Twin Cities. There will probably be several vaccination sites that are convenient for me. What about those who don't live in a major metropolitan area? How do you effectively roll this out to rural America given the specialized storage and transportation needs of the vaccine? How do you convince those isolated people to get vaccinated?

I really wish you'd think critically about the issues we face as a nation instead of just spewing s#!t everywhere.

This is why I oppose the sports issue.

The issue is letting transgender individuals participate as the gender they identify with, correct? I haven't followed closely and just want to clarify.

I think it's a complete non-issue. There are going to be so very few willing to even try competing as women due to the magnified scrutiny of an already maligned identification, coaches/teams aren't going to accept them if the athlete isn't completely earnest in their endeavor, and I'd wager most don't make this transition until they are adults beyond any opportunity of athletic competitions. If someone bucks all of these, I say reward their bravery and let them compete.

Can't wait to tell all the Trump snowflakes that if Biden isn't their president they better not be "cashin them checks." Love me some Biden Bucks!

I work in banking. Now that Biden is president, can I stop accepting the current stimulus checks? All of them are stamped "ECONOMIC IMPACT PAYMENT - PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP". Seems like a fraudulent item to me.

(Seriously, how insecure does one have to be to make sure their name is stamped on each check? Some have vigorously scribbled out that memo on their check)

  8. Listening to the radio on my lunch break today I heard them say that the president was signing numerous executive orders. I immediately shuttered, then remembered that cheeto hitler is gone and nearly got emotional.

This country is still broken beyond belief, but I at least have hope again that we may make it respectable.

  9. He should be executed for treason on national TV to reject his attacks on our democracy.

Political correctness will keep him a free man though. Holding him accountable for anything would be perceived as a spiteful partisan action. This nation's media will forget the damage and crimes in order to pander to viewers rooting for "their team". The Democrats have no balls and want to save face, so they will never even pursue legal action.

I shouldn’t be surprised, but the parallels to the Presidential election in November are amazing. Of course the Trumpers will cry foul.

The steal is in! Look at how they keep finding votes! The president asked them to find votes the other day, but somehow out of these millions of votes found none are the ones he asked for!

I don’t mind that outcome.  One party rule is always a disaster for that party and usually the country and leads to a quick change of power.  Hang loose for 2 years and 2022 will probably be a bloodbath for Democrats if they push through what they are wanting to push through.

I'm glad you can find a way to console yourself?

I can't find a timeline for the original prediction. I seem to remember it being for a year from March to March but that's just my memory.

I thought I remembered those predictions being for if we didn't do anything to stop the pandemic. I could be thinking of a different source but 500k is the number I've held in my mind since mid-March. I used that number to try and convince my mother that the pandemic is to be taken seriously. Funny how we are rapidly approaching it and half the country doesn't care.

I'm new to this thread, but the GOP is going to continue to do well in Gubernatorial elections. They will dominate the Senate. It's already evident that McConnell is moving the party back to the Obama era Republican playbook.

Voters will not punish the GOP, as punishing the GOP means voting for Democrats. This tantamount to a rejection of their very being.

My prediction is that by 2024 the GOP will recover, while using Trumpism for certain elections where it fits. By 2028 the GOP will return to the subtle-racist policies they've championed for decades (replacing Trumpisms' open racism). The GOP is like the Borg, they aren't going anywhere.

I could maybe see a day where the GOP is largely kept out of the white house if the democrats ever grow some balls and initiate electoral college reform when they get the chance. I'm turning 30 in a few months and the GOP has won the popular vote one time in my life - which had some unique circumstances in the shadow of 9/11 and Iraq invasion. The EC is horrible at representing the will of the people. The lightly populated states get more than their fair share of representation in the senate, which as you mentioned will always keep the GOP relevant.

I've shared before that my hope is that the cult breaks off from the GOP and forms their own party. Make people choose between white nationalist facism and actual conservative values. It's a pipe dream, but finding a way to defeat the cult is the only way to get back to any semblance of sanity in this country.

Yet it doesn’t.  It means he increased minority support from the McCain, Romney elections.  That means minorities liked his policies better.  That means the GOP should continue to work with minority groups on those policies and others.

You do know that McCain and Romney were running against a black man, right? That seems incredibly relevant. The GOP should continue to work with minority groups by...keeping minorities off the ballot?

  15. I will not be surprised at all when in 2021 states are sitting on surpluses of the vaccine despite low inoculation rates. I envision a combination of this country being unable to coordinate such a grand effort and the masses of people who don't think it's important to get the vaccine. This s#!t show is so far from over.

What are you even talking about??   You are twisting yourself into a knot trying to get me to admit something which I have no idea what it is.

Press asking hard hitting questions and Trump answering questions most of the time are two different things.

one refers to how the press does its job and one refers to how Trump handles the Press.  Not too complicated. Sad.

Please provide evidence of Trump ever answering a hard hitting question.
