At least Minnesota has a mask mandate. Nebraska doesn't have one. What these state leaders should be doing (and should have been doing a long time ago) is say the bars/restaurants and other businesses can remain open with restrictions, but there is a mask mandate, and then make sure the police are being vigilant about fining people who aren't wearing them.

Enforcement is a problem. There's a statewide mandate in MN but leave the cities and you would never know that. I was in Omaha last month and was told there's a mandate. Could have fooled me. There's fines and citations written into the MN mandate but I've had officers tell me point blank that they'd never issue one. So it all comes back to businesses and the population to enforce this whole thing and we know exactly how well that works on a grand scale.

Minnesota just did this starting last night. The governor held a grim press conference. Talked about how hospitalizations are increasing and that a lot of people are going to die. Then the only restriction to come from the press conference was 10 PM bar closings.

Free flex tape masks for everyone would have been more effective.

No Wendys were harmed, but Trumpers were in route to shoot up a vote count in Philly.

I said before the election that people are going to die no matter what. If Trump won we would see the mass demonstrations unlike we've ever seen, which invariably would result in causalities one way or another. Now that Biden has won, it is inevitable that isolated delusional gun nuts are going to go out guns blazing.

It's easier to predict where and when dangers are with the first situation, hence boarding of windows. The second group is the unchecked issue we've been dealing with for decades that only finally took a break because of a pandemic.

  4. I can only imagine how much worse the pandemic is going to get over the next few months now that we are entering an infectious disease's most impactful environment, Winter. The upper midwest is already in a precarious situation on November 10. The numbers have been surging unchecked while outdoors activities were possible, how much worse do they get once everyone is forced inside? How much worse does it get as we introduce the seasonal flu?

I think the past 8-9 months was just a warmup unfortunately.

You know this isn't is the part knapp is talking about, he is talking about their political views. It is crazy for Nebraska farmers to think Trump's policies help them and that he gives a f#&%.

The number of farms I have seen that have flags upon flags waving in their fields with military stylized support of Trump is absolutely insane. These people prop him up as some sort of action movie war hero, when he is the biggest baby imaginable. We are talking about someone who has probably never driven anything more powerful than a golf cart. This is your uber manly hero? What do you see in him? You would absolutely hate him if you had to be around him.

It's all delusion. They've made him stand for everything they love and against everything they hate, no matter what the reality of the situation is.

You can't spend time in rural Nebraska without realizing how much racism permeates that society.

I wish this were unique to rural Nebraska. Recent trips I took across rural Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan (UP) had me feeling right back at home with my delusional Nebraska relatives that have never left their towns of about 1-2k people but have very strong opinions about what's wrong with the country, as if they have any idea what it's like in the outside world.

  7. Went to my sister's wedding in South Dakota a few days ago. Could not believe any part of it was legal. 200 people in a small hotel event space for several hours with zero masks. Party bus with 40 people drinking crammed in like sardines. Bar hopping at establishments without any rules. All of this in a city with a "mask mandate", in a state currently in the top-5 for cases per capita. I'm not sure how long to wait before getting tested but feel like I need to no matter what.

Makes sense that the governor is a rising star in Trump's party.

Drove to Estes Park for a long weekend. Amazed by the, literally, hundreds of Trump flags and signs which were almost unilateral until we got into Estes proper, then saw mostly Biden signage.

Guarantee that most of those people never put up Romney or McCain signs.

The least popular president we've ever seen has the most outwardly proud contingency of fans we've ever seen. I wonder what has them so passionate.

Isn’t there a Norte Dame board that will put up with your delusional bullsh#t?

Out of curiosity, I checked and yes, there is a Notre Dame board out there that would put up with his delusional bulls#!t. There's someone asking who the old man is interrupting the Trump/Wallace debate. There's multiple saying that Trump should have gone harder on the topic of Biden's son. Someone said Biden was absurd for insinuating Trump is racist. There's even multiple posts calling the "very fine people" line a hoax.

I only went through about the 30 most recent posts. It hurt my head and one poster who had the inbred kid from Dueling Banjos as his avatar spouted all of these stances. I can't believe I'm not making this up.

What has changed since the last election cycle that this didn't apply then but does now? Or will you freely admit that the Republican senate has politicized the court.

You have yet to explain the double standard we have seen. And it's clear you have no case. Just irrelevant one liners and s#!tty memes.

McConnel nor any other R, did not pack the Court or abolish the filibuster.  The Ds did one and said they'd do another.

What would you call blocking a candidate's nomination 9 months ahead of an election because it's an election year, then at the next election insisting on a candidate's nomination 45 days ahead of the election?

  11. The only dead air of the debate was waiting for Trump to denounce white supremacists. Couldn't do it. I didn't need 4 years of evidence to know his stance, but there is no way that anyone could watch that exchange and think he gives one damn about people of color (not that he cares about anyone who isn't himself anyways).

    which can only be Biden.

Your posts are nothing but a mirror of Trump tonight. Can't answer any questions, make any points, and have to change the topic in order to go low.

But of course you'd say he won the debate. God forbid you ever try to bring anything resembling intelligence here. It simply has no place in your cult.

Wallace did the worst job of moderating I’ve ever witnessed. If they do a round two, they need to have a mute button for Trump when it’s not his turn. But a better idea for round 2 would be a steel cage battle to the death. We wouldn’t even need to vote, whoever survives is President. Trump is a f#&%ing joke.

Fingers crossed for a steel cage match featuring two heart attacks followed by the appointment of a true leader.
