  1. this is what basically separates the B1G from the SEC and some other conferences (the ACC comes to mind as another example), I'm glad to see that most people here have the same opinion on this as I do, you just don't pull a schollie because of lack of performance on the field as long as they represent the university well off the field, what kind of message does it send if you cut kids loose that may be doing everything else right, and then give others (that may be playing or starting) second chances...? a fifth year is different, but give them the four years to get their degree (at the very least), that's what they signed up for...
  2. I agree with pretty much all of this, although I would make the list the 5 top teams in the conference and exclude Illinois, as for Michigan I agree, we all know that Borges wants to run a Pro Style offense, but we just don't have the pieces to do that yet, I think we can finish the year strong if we do exactly what we did against the Nebraska D instead of trying to be something we aren't on offense... we'll see what happens from here on out, but I think we will go to a BCS bowl if we beat OSU, then it'll depend on the match up (most of the mock ups have us playing Houston IIRC), if so I like our chances to get to 11 wins...
  3. um, it's not gonna suck because it's not gonna happen, the B1G is pretty evenly matched at the top this year, sure the teams that get BCS bowls will probably lose but from there down I think that the conference does well in their bowl match ups...
