WRT Rhule's possibilities here, I'd be wondering every week if the sexual assault allegations (characterized as being "a portion of Baylor culture, apparently" by some) would rear it's head and be a distraction (for him and for some fans.. a lot of fans?).

    Huh?

I get it...with social media there are tons of rumors and speculation. Just sharing what is out there. I do not believe much of what is put on twitter and would venture to guess most of the speculation in this thread is unfounded.

Yeah but there is a big difference between speculative rumors and purposively made troll accounts :rollin

I’m not sold on Rhule. He would be ok likely.  I think he’d get us bowling but nothing consistently great.

Couple things on here I have been seeing.

    1) Rhule is like Saban and Urb because they both failed in the NFL too.  That’s a big leap. Saban and Urb had way more success than Rhule did in the college game. Both had national championships and won against ranked opponents. Rhule turned around Temple. I’m not buying it.

    2) The next coach doesn’t need to keep MJ. Beware this. Right out the gate that new coach alienates some of the team and scraps their ace recruiter. Not a recipe for success and instead a signal we may have the wrong guy who is going to hire his own buddies. Where have I seen this movie before?

Someone alluded to it, but isn't there a specific date set by Trev Alberts that allows Nebraska to move on from Frost and save money per a contract restructuring that anticipated this possibility?

There's frequently a dynamic in this situation across all sports where the team steps up and plays better for the replacement coach. It doesn't last forever and may not solve anything long--term, but it does shore up the team and the fans for a spell.

    October 1st I believe

We were 21st in YPG, T-16th in Yards per Play. Should lead to a lot higher than 71st in scoring, but didn't.

Well whipple my nipples, it shouldn't be too hard to convert those yards to scores next year.

Frost worked with coastal Carolina over the off-season right? I believe I also saw he also worked with UNK.

So people might be getting their wish of the CC offense... But in the form of a UNK coach

If we hire a coach from UNK then we may as well just pack it up, lol.

Sorry, Im not a styrofoam finger 13 year old who knows little about the game and just is all about mindless cheerleading the cool aid drinking.  Ive been going to games since 1970 and have a lot more invested time and moneywise than you and many others here.

As a fan of all College, HS ball I'm always looking for cool things others are doing to learn from etc. I appreciate well played football- no matter where it's being played and have no jealousy/hate toward any team. At this juncture NO team should be taken for granted- remember this team lost to Troy and a terrible Illinois team.

I find it odd you seem to downplay what Yant or the New Oline mix is doing. I realize you get really uptight when someone disagrees with you- its just a difference of opinion. Its an opinion board, bound to happen.

When did we play Troy this year?
