  1. After the spring game I was really high on Adam Taylor. From what we've heard so far Newby and Wilbon sound like the type of back Riley is looking for but when we get into Big 10 play and need some tough yards I feel like Taylor will get some opportunities IMO.

  2. Stumpy, I 100% agree. If I remember correctly one of the first things Riley did was ask TO why he chose to switch to the option from a pass heavy offense when he was at Nebraska. Riley is trying to get a lot of information from past coaches and adapt his style to what he thinks will work at NU.

  3. I've supported every coach we've ever had ( including Billy C ) and I will continue that with Riley. To me the bottom line on all of this is we have talent, and to have a losing record in the first year would be very disappointing no matter who the coach is.

I've been reading this entire thread for the last couple days and originally thought Tressel like a lot of others, but the longer it goes I really wouldn't be surprised to see something along these lines with TO somehow being involved. You can't deny it would unite the masses once again.

new RUMOR is Frost coming in as HC but will be hiring TO as Asst. HC to help him for first couple years. Get you some of that!!

In all honesty, I think it's a terrible idea.

Hit the reset button. Bring in an outsider that knows how to win.

I'm not necessarily saying I think TO would be on staff just someone there for Frost to bounce ideas off of but that's obviously JMO.

  6. 400 miles round trip

$$$$$ It easily costs $500 to go to a game (i.e. gas, tickets, meals, lodging)

I love having watch parties (especially this year with more night games)

I have a bar in my basement and a 42" flat screen above the bar and a 60" flat screen in the living room (much more comfortable than sitting in Memorial)

I do however try to make it to at least 1 game a year I still love the atmosphere (more than likely Miami this year)

  7. My hometown is working hard to get a local public golf course up and running. I am so happy about this. (The cover photo is hole 5 from our old course, which was full of fantastic views. RIP.)

That would be awesome. I have played that course at least 5 or 6 times mainly on the Labor Day tournament ( wife has family in Valentine ) I played Prarie Club once and it was great but nothing like a small town CC.

  8. My premium is going up about $75/month I pay about $750/month so a 10% increase. Before I had a $5,000 deductible with 100% paid after the deductible ( it's an HSA plan that I do contribute to as a small business owner) now I'm offered the same deductible with 50% coinsurance so my max out of pocket is $12,700. The real kicker is the wife and I were done having kids so I dropped maternity off last year only to have it forced back on to the plan. I think it's great for those that couldn't get coverage before, my mom had cancer a few years back so it will help her, but they have too much of a one-size-fits-all mentality.

Ultimately it falls back to the healthy, and ones who can afford it, paying for the sick, which is never going to be the fix the problem.

  9. I was in college. Went to the Fiesta Bowl and celebrated the New Year's with my brother, cousins, and some Tennessee fans. It was my first bowl trip. Ah the good ol days. We really need to win this game tomorrow for momentum and New Years in Cali this time.

  10. I have been saying this for a while as well. I think that Ameer is great in the return game but we don't have much in the backfield for experience other than him with Rex out. I'm not sure I like the idea of Kenny Bell being back there either since he is our top receiving targets, but at least we appear to have more depth and experience at wide receiver. I guess I would at least try Turner as I think he could be the most likely to "break a game open" with a return.
