Dude, I totally get it if they are online doing s#!t, sure, I can believe that.  But to think there are like hundreds of thousands of sleeper cells in the US...I mean...I loved 24 too but I didn't think it was a documentary.

Do you know about China's 50 cent army?

BTW, your friend might get pushed out by the teacher's union.  They are demanding charter schools be shut down before they agree to reopen schools in the fall because COVID.

Wait....you think the trade deal is great and Pompeo is a rock star but  the trade deal is dead.

And, you do know gdp growth really didn’t change since trump has been in office, right???

Trade deal was a start in addressing the trade imbalance.  Pompeo is a rock star.  The trade deal was an opportunity for China to show good faith and actually follow through on a deal.  I doubt anyone thought they would.  Rather than renege they sent us a virus.

Maybe because we were engaged in a trade war???

Are those WalkAway rallies or Trump rallies? Are you confusing yourself?

How many more convictions did you need to realize there's some "there" there?

I'm glad you brought these "criminals" up.  I looked into the Michael Flynn and Roger Stone cases and have concluded they were caught up in the Russia witch hunt AKA Russian hoax and their charges were of the nature that anyone of us could be convicted of if the government wanted to get us.  The whole investigation was based on one lie after another supported by MSM.  I encourage everyone to take a close look at what happened because it's very frightening the abuse of power that occurred.  Listen to what happened to this poor lady.

    It's not.

People aren't walking away from the Democrat Party. This whole schtick is some Russian bot campaign ahead of the 2018 mid-terms. Didn't work out so well for Trump & his Russian buddies, though.

    https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx

How do they get the Russian bots to attend the rallies?  I've got to go see what a Russian bot looks like in New Jersey on 7/22 or Baltimore, MD on 7/25 or Sacramento, CA on 8/1.  More Russia, Russia, Russia?  Even Democrats have to be smart enough to realize that whole thing is wearing thin.

Too early to tell. I honestly didn't mind Trump getting tough on China, but even then he has a tendency to do the right thing for the wrong reason.

Really haven't seen any analysis of the trade wars since January. BRB's article was from February. Latest I've seen basically says China exporting the Wuhan Flu nullifies everything:

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/13/trump-on-china-100-trade-deals-wouldnt-make-up-for-coronavirus.html

I think the trade deal is dead but the administration isn't willing to admit it.  It looks like China will need grain so maybe they are waiting to see if they do. The trade deal included China not stealing IP which they haven't and isn't something Trump will forgive.

No, seriously - you said there were 63,000 videos of people doing the walk away thing. Which ones have you watched?

Like I said I watched (parts of) a couple a few weeks ago so I have no idea which ones I watched.  The guy that started the #walkaway movement was interviewed the other day and he gave the 63K figure.  When asked if they were verified former Democrats he said "yes".  It's a real thing if that's your concern.  I imagine you can find them on twitter using #walkaway.  The only thing I remember about one was he said his family always voted Democrat and he always voted Democrat.  What's bizarre is when people switch over they have friends and family that refuse to talk to them.  I started to think maybe the Democrat party has become a cult.  I believe my brother is one of them which worries me because he's very susceptible to suggestion.  I'll have to red pill him before November.

Also, in the spirit of serious debate, no, Biden has no interest in a trade deal with China, because a bilateral agreement with them is not effective. He WAS for TPP and has said he would renegotiate it. A multilateral deal with our allies and Pacific Rim companies would go a long way in boxing China in.

Also, Trump has destroyed the credibility and effectiveness of the State Department. SOS is a terrible job right now and no one in the world respects Pompeo because Trump's likely to hop on Twitter and reverse our official position as soon as Pompeo tries to speak for us.

I'm voting for Biden in part because diplomacy is important.

I think Pompeo is a rock star.  Very smart and I haven't detected Trump and Pompeo being out of synch. Trump has ruffled a lot of feathers but he looks at things from a businessman's perspective.  When he sees us spending billions on defense to protect allies that aren't paying their agreed upon share he's gong to put America first and ask for money.  I think he's gained respect by doing this and is putting US back in more of a leadership role and less a door mat.  Look at the Huawei situation.  If Trump hadn't lead, many countries would have given in.  Its quite incredible given how China gets their hooks into a country.  China plays dirty so I want a President willing to hit below the belt.

Link a couple of your favorite walk away videos for us. Help us understand what you see.

I've always been with the good guys so all I could do is say welcome aboard.  I watched a couple and remember thinking duh, why did you fall for the Democrat line in the first place?  It was strange because they seemed like smart people.  They are probably more interesting to those thinking about crossing over.

Good job. You had me going for a while. :D

I have a pill you should take...  but seriously take a look on youtube and see what all the commotion is about, these are people from your own tribe.  Parler is a good free speech platform if you want to hear the view from the good guys.  The fact conservatives had to create their own platform should raise some concerns about the left.

    Please keep going.

Here's my idea.  Obviously the Democratic party has been hijacked by the radical left.  The party looks nothing like the one of JFK with moderates being pushed aside to make way for a socialist agenda with free everything which will be ruinous to the country.  Decent people have reservations of such things as late term abortions and cancel culture.  If your idea of political debate is shouting F-you, F-Trump this idea isn't for you.  There is only two choices, form a 3rd party which always has limited success or #WalkAway.  I was surprised only 63,000 in June made videos as to why they were leaving the Democrat party.  I thought after 2016 they would reform but instead they changed label to progressive and doubled down on the stupidity.  Send a message and rejoin them when they come to their senses.

Interesting that you're lulled to sleep with such a false sense of security against a threat that probably really doesn't threaten you at all.

Black Livelihoods Matter.  Why blacks would vote for Democrats and their pro job stealer policy is beyond me.  I know Democrats are becoming a party of criminals by courting the prisoner vote and Antifa but please have some empathy for our black brethren.

It's not in NAFTA II. Mexico isn't paying for the wall.  There won't be a wall like Trump promised.  For the love of Bob Devaney's ghost, Trump tried to take money out of the military budget to build his dumb wall. Open your eyes!!

500 miles of beautiful wall by November.  I sleep better knowing that Trump is protecting our borders.  Desperate times call for desperate measures and it can be argued that it is national defense.  My understanding is that the open border Democrats wouldn't give him money for the wall.  Are you an open border guy?  Do you not think legal immigration is the proper way to handle immigration?

Biden, without question. Trump can be bought with some lovely letters, as he showed with Kim Jong Un. And now the Norks are building nukes again.

Trump couldn't negotiate a trade deal to save his life. Every other national leader laughs at him. Xi is running circles around Trump because Trump won't listen to his experts. He just shoots from the hip and expects others to bow down. China isn't about that.

Biden is going to rebuild our foreign relations teams. We don't need a one-man show, we need a full team effort. Trump can't work as a team. Look how many times his coms people have said "Trump didn't mean _____, he really meant _______" only for Trump to tweet out the next day "I really DID mean ______!"  That kind of bizarro mixed messaging may make for some great clips on Fox & Friends but it's no way to run a government.

When is Mexico paying for that wall, by the way?

Kim Jong Un?  Isn't he that guy that threw a temper tantrum by blowing up a building because Trump isn't giving in to nuclear blackmail?

I like what Trump has done with foreign relations in the Pacific region.  He got countries that were spending a paltry 1% of GDP on defense to increase to 2%.  Meanwhile we were providing defense in the region free of charge while spending 3.4% GDP.  There were a lot of fence sitters in the region and I believe Trump put it to these countries that they would need to choose between a China dominated world or a US dominated world.  I believe COVID helped make up their mind.

Is Biden even interested in a trade deal with China?  I think he's calling it laissez faire trade deal

I love the monomaniacal focus on Obama/Biden. Because that trade deficit started out under Reagan, got worse under Bush, Clinton, Bush & Obama.

Not exactly the point you're making, is it?

Most Republicans will freely admit that the Bush were responsible for a lot of the China mess and Clinton getting them into the WTO didn't help either.  These guys were operating under the Kissinger thinking that with increased wealth China would become more democratic.  It's obvious under XI that is not going to happen- surprise they're communists!  Our trade with China has only made them wealthier and more aggressive.  I think we can all agree that the chart shows this is a real problem.  Question is, who do you believe will do something about it?  Trump, the guy that's been talking about China for years or Biden who did nothing as VP other than get his son a $1.5B loan from China.  If you were president what would you do to address the trade imbalance with China?

You really need to put that critical thinking hat back on and review Trump's position(s) on China. They are all over the place. Trump is a suck up and "great friend" of President Xi when he needs something (or Xi flatters him), and they are the enemy when he needs an enemy (which is often). His toughest action against China has been trade embargoes and so far it's mostly Americans who have suffered. Sometimes it's hard to get any read at all; an afternoon tweet from Trump on China may contradict the official White House statement that morning.

You know that all those MAGA hats and Trump swag are made in China, right? That seems like a simple place to get tough.

FWIW....the tax returns of Donald Trump are most likely to reveal what's been known for a long time: felony tax evasion. Also, he's not quite the successful business man he portrays on TV -- and that's his greatest fear.

You don't think the trade deal which put a dent into the trade deficit was good?

This is a great argument for outlawing most guns. While there will be a growth period, in the end confiscating and destroying all guns from the citizenry will allow the police to disarm, and get back to their stated objective of "Serve and Protect."

you do realize police are not legally obligated to serve and protect us?  I want gramps and women to have the right to protect themselves from physical harm.

You're gonna hear some extremist takes, but Defund the Police is a concept based on taking calls away from the Police Department that they really don't want anyway.  Instead of handling all the domestic disturbances, mental health patients acting out, the pit bull complaints, the stranded motorists, and the squabbling neighbor calls, they are handled by social workers, trained conflict resolvers, and the SPCA, bolstered by a fraction of the police budget. This means fewer heightened incidents handled by less-trained people bearing guns. Some police admit liking the basic idea, if not the language and attitude that comes with it. Also, it's absolutely crazy how militarized the local police have become. It's expensive and it's counter--productive.  A smaller police budget can just mean a more efficient and less-strained police department.

Sounds reasonable.  I believe Minneapolis took the extreme route although it sounds like there are some hurdles before actually getting the police defunded.  One other situation I heard suggested was domestic dispute cases which police have said can be quite dangerous.  A lot of this seems knee jerk and Dems are feeling their way through things.  My concern with well meaning social programs is that the only thing they accomplish is widening the income gap between the poor and middle class (social workers) in minority communities.  I remember Thomas Sowell talking about this so these proposals need to be judged on whether it provides better service.  The militarization of police was in response to police being outgunned.  The pendulum is swinging back the other way now but if the Dems don't eliminate the police, the pendulum will eventually swing back the other way when crime spirals out of control.
