Going to be USA/Japan in the Final on July 5.
Can't wait for the rematch. Heartbreak for the English team. You hate to see anyone go out like that.
USA's two centerbacks, Becky Sauerbrunn and Julie Johnston, are the key members of a tremendous back line of defense. Both of them are probably shoe-ins for the all-tournament team. And they're both on yellow cards going into the final. That's something that really bears watching. One mistake and not only do we lose a key player, we're down to 10.
The yellows don't matter at this point, they could still get one and not be out the rest of the game. For example, if someone had gotten a yellow in the first group game, they could still finish out the rest of the next game even if they got another yellow. They would then have to sit out the next game though. At least that's what I think is right after watching soccer very often for over 10 years!

I liked the old format much better.

Dang it, that went down fast... I had my response ready.

Isn't Anderson able to possibly get a med-redshirt from last year? I can't remember what was decided with that...

If Brazil wins Neymar is going to attempt to play in the world cup final...
I think they already shot down that idea...

I dislike Neuer being so quick off the line. He's going to miss one of these times and either concede a goal or get sent off.
I don't think he has too much of a choice. Each time it's been the right call and the German defenders can't seem to keep up. We're heading into extra time now.
Do they play the full 30 minutes always, or is it a golden goal kind of deal?
Full 30.

He's got the Kenny Bell 'fro.

Now I'm curious and I've run across this. Lifehacker forums said this is a pretty good product. Anyone have any experience with this kind of sharpener?
I haven't used it but I think it works alright. This is how I do it:
-
Thanks guys!
I use my belt sander to sharpen. I also have a leather strop to keep the edge sharp. I don't have to do more that a few passes on the strop to keep it sharp for a long time, I don't think I've resharpened it on the belt sander for a few months now.
I test my edges using newspaper and phonebook paper, I find it to be the most consistent and it's easy to see if there are any imperfections in the edge.

Use a knife that you made totally by hand. It is very rewarding to use something you've made.
Those are beautiful. What'd you use for the steel? I've tried my hand at making knives from really old saw blades . . . but that sort of artistry/detail work isn't really my strong suit.
Thanks man! I used 1084, it's not the best for kitchen knives because it's not stainless, but if you keep good care of it it's fine.

For those that attended the game....did these improvements help....
They aren't done yet I think, if they were then they didn't help at all.

Please don't go MLB, play basketball and football and baseball for us.....

Also, Dillman will be eligible to sign scholarship papers on Aug. 1, since he plans to enroll early. Binding for school but not prospect.
Huge for his development.
If I understand, he wouldn't get onto campus until everyone else does, it just means that he is guaranteed a spot if he wants. Someone that knows better can correct me though.

I don't know, maybe PM Landlord? He seems like he knows how to work with the ladies.

damnit you beat me to it

I picked them to get beat by Baylor so that we would win. I haven't had very good luck with pools these last few years so I'm hoping that they will win since I picked them to lose.
I'm guessing no one will get this reference but oh well!

I was at the game and sat opposite side from Davision and Pavelka. And the second the game was over they were high fiven and hugging folks all the way up to Miles' post game show. Is there a podcast or something somewhere that I can listen to that, cuz they had to be on air during some of that. I just wanna hear em.
Here're some highlights.
