  1. I bought my tickets through the university and will be in section 335. I'd imagine there will also be a spot somewhere in the lower bowl.
  2. This. I've seen threads about "Not showing up Saturday" or "How do we show them we want Bo fired?" Then you get a player who speaks his mind, whether you agree with it or not, and he gets bashed. Beautiful.
  3. Something to consider. We would be asking a new coach to come in and go undefeated. Right away. Now. We're still in the B1G, right? And you can talk all you want about how it's not about wins and losses. Coaches know better. Put what you wrote above in the first line of the job description....... You never expect a new coach to turn things around that fast, but the sooner we get one the quicker we turn. I know we're 8-2 right now.....but skersfan used the 11-2 example. I'd love to see the look on a coaching candidates face when told we need to "turn things around" at 11-2. Every coach out there knows the situation. They've seen the blowouts. Last year the analysts talk about Bo being on the hot seat. Nothing's new, and it wouldn't be a shocker to anyone. At 11-2, I'm pretty sure it would be a shocker.
  4. Considering the only coach to be fired in the last 25 years after winning 10 games was Bobby Petrino at Arkansas, I'd say I'm not being very crazy.
  5. Because we had a long list of candidates when Callahan was fired? I'm not saying we aren't a great program deserving of a great coach, but to think replacing a guy that just won 10 games wouldn't deter some candidates would be crazy.
  6. Granted we were severely outplayed for most of the Michigan State game, you're basically saying Bo's tenure hinges on Alonzo Moore's fingertips in the endzone of that game? Obviously the Wisconsin game was a train wreck, but if you're ready to dismiss a 10-2 coach, need to look big picture here. I know people don't want to bring it up, but what coach in their right mind is coming here? You fire a coach after 10 wins? Both losses coming on the road to top 25 teams?
  7. See this is always interesting to me. If you sit down and take a look at many of the teams in the final rankings, from 15-25, you would have trouble picking "signature" wins. Many of these teams simply rack up wins on lesser teams for the most part. I know this is Nebraska, and I'm not decreasing my standards at all, but 11 wins wouldn't be something to scoff at.
  8. Say what you want, Bo isn't getting fired with an 11-2 record (including bowl win). I could see staff changes occurring. Both are probably a long shot, but Scott Frost at OC and Muschamp at DC would be an excellent fit, in my opinion. This is most likely a pipe dream.
  9. The problem is even if they win the next two games and go 10-2 it doesn't change what's already happened. since 2011 seven losses of at least 17 points which is the most in the nation and a 2-8 record against teams that are ranked in the last 10.It' Can't be about wins and losses anymore in the garbage Big Ten it's about how they loose and about who they loose to. The barometer of success needs to be record against ranked teams not against the bottom feeders in the conference So you're saying regardless of outcome the next three games, he's done enough to warrant firing? For argument sake, let's say Nebraska beats Minny 35-24 (current spread), then Iowa in Iowa City by a similar margin. Plays UCLA or Arizona State in a bowl game and just plain wins. We are going to call for Pelini's head after 11-2 and those wins? As said before, while this could very easily not happen, in my opinion it's not crazy to think this could happen over the next few weeks.
  10. My point exactly. The season, albeit 10 games in, still has a lot of room for interpretation. 8-5 is obviously grounds for firing, considering the collapse it would be down the stretch. But, the fact this team COULD still win 11 games, with only two losses to solid clubs on road makes all this yelling and screaming meaningless. The same fans that are wanting Eichorst to fire Bo mid-season, would probably have a different opinion if we won the next 3 against solid teams. I'm not defending Bo by any stretch, just want the whole slate to be there before making a decision.
  11. If Bo finds a way to get this team to 11 wins, are the fans happy? 11-2 with a win over, most likely, a solid SEC/Pac 12 team in the bowl game would be a heck of a year in my opinion. I know we are a long way from this happening, but if you're on the "Fire Bo now" train because of the most recent performance, and 11 wins gets you off then you need to reevaluate your opinion for now. All these threads about not showing up for Senior Day are ludicrous. You can knock Bo all you want, it's obviously warranted following this performance, but given the fact we have 3 (longshot at 4) games left, we should continue to back the team and evaluate after the full resume is there.
  12. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8403057/tyler-moore-tranferring-florida-gators-join-offensive-line Makes sense for the kid, but hope he told Nebraska coaches before. Wasn't he planning on coming back?
