Much love to the team, they fought to the end but could not come up w/the W. It was right there too. I hope Tommy doesn't kick himself too hard, that was not all on him.

Good stuff.

NO! NO! NO! NO!
I was telling the announcer, through my television screen, to just shut the hell up.
Anybody watching Nebraska the last few years knows that we have lived off the threat of the home run. We've done nothing the last three years but feed the rock to Ameer, and then "scare" everybody with the deep ball, just to back them off so we could feed it to Ameer some more.
To hell with living like that.
If there's on thing, as a Husker fan, I've wanted to see the last few years, more than anything in the world, it was Nebraska stringing together long drives. Multiple plays, time chewing, successful marches down the field. Not a chance in hell I'll have some dumbass announcer tell me that stringing together long drives is a bad thing.
I realize this is So. Alabama, but if we can string these kind of drives together, take some pressure off our defense, then we are going to find the promised land.
Seriously, to hell with what that announcer was saying. It was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. You don't EVER complain about an offense that strings together drives. When we want to hit the home run, we will. Alonzo Moore, Jordan Westerkamp, Brandon Reilly, and Tommy Armstrong will make sure of that.
Yes, yes and yes.

The dynamic difference between Riley and Pelini's communication is night/day. I get mixed feelings regarding the team from Riley but Bo always kept his hand close to his chest. I think I prefer Bo's approach to communication only because I am worried about our team this year, some things sound promising but others...not so much. 8 TD's from an offense struggling with the pass against a D that is suppose to be tighter against the run? Yikes. I can't wait until Sept. 5th though...GBR! Sh#t is about to get real! Whooooo!
I'm not going to touch you preferring Bo's communication the Riley's...
But I wouldn't get too worked up about the 8 TDs. In order to judge that, you need to know how many came from 1s vs. 1s, or where the drive started, or if they specifically scripted a certain O play vs a D play to see how the players reacted.
I appreciated Bo's coach speak to an extenet, however everything as far as communication goes in regards to Riley and company this fall camp has been more than appreciated. Way better than this...

Bo's teams had me drinkingthe kool-aid every year, Riley has brought me back down to earth. Ignorance is bliss... so to speak.

According to Severe: Oline struggling with Dline. Big drop off from 1st team to 2nd team....except for Foster "He's special".
Yay about Foster. Hopefully this statement says a lot about our Dline...otherwise...

Oops I typed that before I saw we were trying to get back on track. Carry on.....
Linebackers is what worries me in this game. That QB of theirs could expose some inexperience if we get caught with our eyes turned. Taysoms running ability is scary but he throws a nice ball.
I'll be curious to see how we line up against them. Whether we'll use more nickel and dime or go straight up 4-3 on em for the majority. Obviously depends on their personnel but I think with our lack of depth at LB'er, maybe we see some mismatched coverages or some guys like Kalu, or Cockrell coming in place of a LB'er even if they look like they're gonna run.
We need speed with eyes on that QB of theirs.
I agree with this assessment. However, Cockrell will not start practice at the being of fall camp but may be ready for BYU. Still, we will have to see his role early on.
Yea, I actually hadn't heard he wouldn't be back til' then until today. Welp, Kalu's a stud and maybe Charles Jackson is back in the mix to get on the field by then?
Cjax should be in the mix. *crosses fingers

Nice happy for Josh. The kid has a ton of heart.

I have wanted Snyder to be N since he flipped. Awww yesss!

The run game next year without Ameer is worrisome. Newby and Cross do their thing but are not on AA's level right now. Wilbon and/or Taylor could be huge next year especially if the later heals up nicely from the injury last season.

With the new staff shaping up (for the most part) in what areas do you think the Huskers will progress over the course of the 2015 season? I think we progress in team discipline. I think we slim down on penalties and fumbles. I think the team becomes more of a "team" in 2015.
On the flip-side, with a new coaching staff coming into a new conference, getting to know their players, conference tendencies etc. there are, in theory, going to be some regressions - on both sides of the ball. In what areas do you think we will regress? I fear our defensive back play will regress, even though we keep Warren. If there was a mainstay over the course of Bo's tenure it was our secondary play. What say you?

The sound quality here... holy hell. Who does a podcast on the roof of a parking garage in the wind? The phone in audio is also suspect.
Pretty good content though.
