  1. Drop all supplements including protein. They are not regulated and can cause gynecomastia.

I would suggest using this program developed by HC graduate and Omaha resident. Everything you need for a fair price. He suggest the paleo diet approach. and the base is 3 day a week/full body workouts, around 45 minutes each, 12 cycles, 1 week off out of 4. Buy the book for more info.

  3. Offensive Line: A-

2 1,000 yard rushers since when??? anything less than an A is a joke on the fans behalf. Could use a little better pass protection.

    Wide Receivers: A+

Best in b1g and coming back

    Tight Ends: A+

cant ask much more of the TE

    Running Backs: A+

Def A+++++ no need to explain

    Quarterback: B

    Better decision making

    Playcalling: A-

Stick with the run to set up the pass

    Defensive Line: B-

Starts up front, if you cant accept that you dont know football sorry

    Cornerbacks: A-

Always seemed to be in position, QB always had time to pass- see above

2013 Outlook: B, A lot is riding on just how good Charles Jackson will actually turn out to be.

    Safeties: A+

Always in position, QB had too much time to pass, see D LINE

    Linebackers: A-

hard to tackle when DLINE getting thrown in your face, seems like we just need to add 1 more guy to the box, which isn't their fault, great year by compton

    Playcalling: ??????????????

Considering at the very least 90 percent of you don't know what play was even called on defense, I hope you dont even grade this

The scheme works when the DLINE can make plays. Just was not the case this year or last. Doesnt help when STEIN goes down.

    DEFENSE OVERALL: B-

  4. backup QB is always the most popular guy on the team hah

Nobody is saying they want anyone else to start??

This is a completely just get the thoughts a flowing as I am a staunch T-Mart follower since he was jsut a 3* recruit. But what would you guys think of him playing at WR or scatback this year either in packages or full time? I just say this because as much as I'd love it, he would never have a shot in the pros at the position. (bigger suprises have happened though) And he has Devin Hester type speed so slot reciever could be a spot if he has the hands and the drive to go pro... Thoughts?

I also think that It could be a good way to get Armstrong some use out of this year of eligibility if he IS all he's cracked up to be. Obviously, I want what gives us the best chance to win though.

No. He's the perfect qb in our system. I guarantee you if Armstrong started over Taylor next year we would not win as many games. Armstrong is good but Taylor is a leader and is improving every single game. I'm super excited to see him after another year with Calhoun. He's back to full speed, made it through a year injury free surprisingly, and dramatically improved in passing. What he needs to work on is throwing the ball out of bounds when there is too much pressure, and not forcing plays on the run. Taylor will be in heisman talk next

Nah. Maybe in the indoor football league. Not saying that as a bad thing, but it seems to be the more quick paced game where speed is key. He's just not big enough to play a position other than QB, and he would a 0% of playing QB in the pros. However like others have said, i think it would be cool to pull an oregon a few times and spread him out wide, put Armstrong at QB. We have so many weapons its unbelievable. And with another year in the same system we should be able to utilize them and be top 5 in the nation in offense. I imagine something like armstrong in the shotgun, taylor at wide out, motion taylor, armstrong hikes it, hands it to taylor on a reverse and taylor having a pass/run option. We will be deadly next year if we can get the diamond formation used more. Taylor, Ameer, Braylon, and Cross or one of the stud freshman. That would be a nightmare for defenses with how many options we would have. We have the talent and speed. I'm excited already just thinking about it!!!

Well, maybe in a package as a WR. As it's been suggested the advantages would be that it gives Armstrong a chance to get on the field and Tmart in space with his speed. He'd have to play the slot or go in motion. We have plenty of good receivers so I wouldn't use it a lot.

I don't think you gain anything putting him as a RB

Full time? No. We invested 4 years in Tmart as a QB. It wouldn't make sense to move him as a SR. Plus we have no experience there.

I'm sorry, I must not be able to read. I thought it was half of the discussion in this thread. I'll just go ahead and see my way out of it.

  5. I love the bitter undertones that come up when former Husker coaches players etc have success elsewhere, maybe if we would have a little more confidence and loyalty with those linked to the programs past, we wouldn't have to watch them have success everywhere else

  6. Very pointless to guess considering the 8 spots we must fill on defense but here is what I feel if we can get the D to play to at the very least as good as they did this year.

    Wyoming--W

    Southern Miss--W

    UCLA-- L

    SDSU--W

    Illinois--W

    @ Purdue--W

    @ Minnesota--W

    Northwestern--L

    @ Michigan--L

    Michigan State--W

    @ Penn State--W

    Iowa--W

Michigan captures the league and plays Ohio State 2 times in 2 weeks

    Michigan loses 11/30

Upsets OSU 11/07 to keep them out of the national title.

    Mich to Rose

    OSU to Cap One

    Neb/Nwestern to Outback

    IMO IMO IMO IMO

  7. These late hit out of bounds plays are becoming ridiculous and actually having an affect on the results of the game. I recall being @ memorial stadium vs Vtech a few years back and SUH was flagged for one on 3rd down and it gave vtech a 1st down to put the game out of reach. I think they need to install a fair catch/out of bounds call to ensure the end of the play. Throw a hand up or something to head out of bounds untouched or face the consequences of getting tackled out of bounds. Yeah? It is a ridiculous notion, but this crap is getting old, real fast.

  8. I think Osborne's "hands off" approach as Pelini's boss has put us in the position we are with the football program after 5 years. Osborne has mentioned many times in the past that he doesn't like to stick his nose into the football operation because that's the way he liked it when he was Head Coach. IMO, that was entirely the wrong approach to take with a first time HC that he had in Pelini.

Everyone assumed that Tom was hands-on behind the scenes helping Bo to become a solid HC. I tend to think that was not happening and that Osborne let Bo do his thing, and what we're left with is an above average team each year but nothing better, and no signs that we are making the kind of changes and improvement that will take us to another level.

I'm hopeful that the new AD and some of the more vocal (with both voice and $) boosters put a lot of heat on Pelini during this off-season to make some needed changes to attempt to move the ship in a more successful direction. Pelini's press conference after the loss to GA sounded like a guy that new he had to put a positive spin on next year because he didn't have any other choice but to given that it's recruiting time and that in year 6 he needs to step up his game.

Osborne is doing the right thing not getting involved in the coaching aspect of the job.
