  1. HA Miss Spell! I heard she won Miss Congeniality! I'll take misspelled words for $200 Alex I guess it's expected from a Miami Beach Community College and Drug Trafficking grad! You got me.
  2. And you majored at being a dumbass! Nice come back. Thanks Did you our your cousin/wife make it up?
  3. And you majored at being a dumbass! Nice come back.
  4. lol... Ray Ray was an idiot, why? Because he actually got caught? Mate, you can defend your program, I applaud you for it. In fact, I admire people that do exactly what your doing regardless of what uni they favor. However, one also in their attempt to justify the improvements needs first to accept responsibility for their flaws. The university has to a small degree done this. Yes, the uni admin is making huge leaps in correcting what was once a VERY corrupt department. I applaud them for their efforts. Yet, it seems those who once glamorized the "Thug" image wants to continue glamorizing. (Have you seen any of the ESPN programs regarding the history of the program? I mean seriously, they still boast about their image.) If the program didn't want to "hold on" to that image, players that continue boasting wouldn't be allowed to return. Make an example of what "not" to be like. Put Irving where he belongs, off the field and looking in wondering WTF? As for current day canes, I've not an opinion one way or the other. I think the uni is doing what is needed to address the past with the ncaa but I think it could do more to address the past with the nation by not honoring players that harbor today a standard of unethical rules. (What applies to others doesn't apply to us type mentality.) I wish Beau and the rest of the cane players the best of luck. I harbor no ill will towards them or their fans. I am hopeful that when the canes come to Lincoln that our fans and theirs can remain respectable towards one another but I don't foresee that happening. The cane and husker fans do have a tenuous past. Husker fans were treated horribly every time they faced the canes in Miami. Osborne twice saying publicly that he'd like to play Miami in Lincoln and yet the administrations (both here and miami) somehow not working the schedules out to actually get the games. Finally when Osborne became the AD, he managed to accomplished it and I think both fan bases are eagerly awaiting the games. My fear is, both are overly eager. Agreed.
  5. Ray Ray got like 1100 bucks. paid it back. and he was an idiot too.
  6. idiot. http://www.sbnation.com/2011/8/18/2371388/randy-shannon-miami-nevin-shapiro-coaches-players-warned-violations
  7. actually Randy said if any player or coach was found with Shaprio they would be fired or kicked off the team. Good to know you know your facts.
  8. was.. times have changed. Look up Golden and Shannon's academic records. Coker was an idiot. and the FIU brawl was 6 years ago. Lamar Thomas shouldn't have said what he did.
  9. Such a lame excuse, Miami has a million things to spend the entertainment $$$ on. Hmm... last I checked, so to does Florida and Florida St but they seemingly sell out. Here's the truth, Miami appeals only to thugs and wanna be thugs and that equates to well... probably 10K fans on average that can actually "afford" to doe to buy the ticket. Any rational minded person, be it a Canes fan or not, can't deny that Miami's glory years were based on recruitment of kids that were in many cases academically challenged, not because they weren't smart, because they came from the inner city where life is hard. Did they expand their knowledge and actually contribute to society, in some cases yes. Regardless, the off the field antics, the drugs, the prostitution, on field fights, (announcers that lose their job for applauding and giving their approval regarding on field behavior) and the list goes on. My mother has her nursing degree from Miami and refuses to watch Canes games because in her words, they (the players of the 80's and 90's) were an embarrassment to her. Furthermore, anyone remember a certain Miami player, ESPN analyst that was once quoted as saying "You can't do anything to me, all I have to do is catch another touch down and all is forgotten". He played for the cowboys, speaks openly about his years at the U and running with the thugs to go out and rob some clerk.... There lies the image associated with the Canes program and in it lies the distaste/disdain that so many have for that once competitive uni. thanks for bringning up 30 years ago. Check the record for the past 15 and get back to me. times have changed.
  10. Didn't know that had been decided. You really think the NCAA is going to give Miami a 4 bowl game ban? no way
  11. And if your football team was worth a damn, that should be the #1 entertainment attraction in the entire city. The fact that you would rather go to the beach than watch a Miami football game speaks for itself. didn't say i would rather go to the beach. Said the average fan would. Or a heat game or a dolphins game. I notice you left out the Marlins games, wise choice. Marlins don't even want to show up to those.
  12. Nebraska is one of the best kept secrets and we like it that way. ok.....
