Find it hard to believe he signed w anyone considering he eliminated Bama bc they pressured him to sign during the early period.

Heard he was a silent commit with Bama for a while, but they would not let him commit publically. You can see their safety class has higher rated players, so I think that is why it shook out the way it did.

My guess is he signed with Nebraska silently and will announce it at the Poly Bowl. If his recruitment is quite from now until then, that would be evidence this is true.

And that looks like the only halfway challenging class in the bunch. I’ve seen tougher course loads for 1st year middle schoolers.

“Topics in College Math”? Is that a class where you talk about basic math concepts but never actually do any math?

I mean ... I hope it works out well for him.

But his story was he was taking 23 credit hours this semester.  Assuming "W" is "Withdrew" and one class crossed out was not a passed class, that shows 17 credit hours this semester.  Which is still good.  But might not have been enough to meet some benchmark that is required.

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like he fell short this semester.

Silent commit, why don't we just call it what it really is, kiss of death.  I have yet to hear of an actual "silent commit" actually signing with us.  F the silent commit BS, either make it known or GTFO

    Wandale was a silent commit...so...

He is signing on the 19th, but won't announce until the Poly bowl.

If feel that it will create a scenario for NCAA recruitment violations. Programs are not allowed to reach out to players for the purpose of recruitment after they sign a LOI. If the prospects don't make it known who they signed with, some programs will not realize that these players already signed and find themselves violating NCAA rules.

He was talking about the 2020 season, Carlos will be a Sr next year. Never said Vaha was good either, just stating what the depth would be at that time--- and that's even if he stays.

Vaha and Carlos are both listed as Juniors this year. So, Vaha has another year after Carlos? That doesn't sound right.

Was he moved around a number of times?  And if he was, I understand it being difficult, but I would think moving from school to school is just as difficult.

I don't know.  Best of luck to him.

I don't recall anything publicly about him moving positions repeatedly. I would point at grades on this one. It is nice for him to acknowledge the efforts of the academic staff, but I do not think he would have had there not been specific reason to. For example, no specific mention of the S&C staff was made.

Anyway, best of luck to the guy.

Damion Daniels was only a rFR this year and I liked what I saw. Kid will be a force in 2020. He's 340 lbs atm and him and Vaha would be the only true NT we have on the roster.

Carlos Davis got time at NT and is listed at the same size as Vaha. Not sure why Vaha would be considered to provide better depth at NT at the moment, given he provided zero this past season.

From what I gather, Nebraska recruited over Tony. Something like their plan B option (in this case, elder Daniels) was more appealing as a proven talent at the D-1 level or assurance of transfer eligibility, or both. Definitely can't blame the staff for getting a plan B ready, as Fair had 23 credits to make up.

Still, it does fly in opposition to their typical steadfastness with a recruit. Schaefer's quote "He's going to graduate" does leave open the possible that he might not be a December grad, which seems to be a deal breaker for the staff with JUCO.

Should have been Blough on the 2nd team. Patterson on 3rd team makes sense, he was more efficient than Martinez. Martinez would be next in line for me. McSorely might not even be 5th.

I am inclined to agree with your order. It is hard to look at Martinez's productivity this season, especially as a true freshman, as say he was 4th best, but it might be true.
