We are last... Look closer. The teams ranked below have all played one additional game.

Indiana's offense runs 84.25 plays per game
Sarcasm, meant to imply that tied for last was better than last. Sad state of affairs for a once proud program to be arguing over last place on anything.

So you're saying we aren't last. Whew. Had me worried.

We could do #hunter, but might get a bunch of Hunter Biden stuff we don't want to know about.

And if we are going to have a hologram coach lets do Tom Osborne. But I want 1990's T.O. who was half prison warden, not 2010's T.O. who doesn't like pot or gambling.

That's it!!! SF had a hologram coaching for him while he was at home boating, and the random number generator that picked play calls is responsible for the onside kick. I guess the artificial intelligence isn't perfected yet.

To the bolded: yeah, I said the same thing when Callahan was hired. Yet, here I am. Even if we screw the pooch with this next hire, you will be back just like all the rest of us. We can't help ourselves.
True. Actually quitting the Huskers would actually be harder to kick than Hunter Biden kicking ciggarettes/crack/heroin/booze/hookers combined.
But like all addicts, sometimes I loath my addiction, especially coming down after a loss.
So come on Huskers, I need a bump on Saturday.

Wisconsin suffering from the same arrogance we had firing Solich.
They did build themselves to be the image of Nebraska, (White helmets with red letter, O-line pipeline, run the damn ball) But apparently someone forgot to tell them to stop when they got to 2001.

I'd say there a very, VERY few successful coaches at this level who don't have skeletons in their closet of one variety or another. Some are just better at hiding than others.
There are very few people on this board who, if their life was under the microscope like a college HC is, that wouldn't have skeletons of one variety or another.
If they don't, they have lived their life under a rock.

We are running out of candidates since this blog seems to find the worst in every one or come up with a list of reasons why they would never come to Nebraska. So I decided to revise my top three candidates and list three Christmas miracle gifts.
(1) Nick Saban
(2) Ryan Day
(3) Dabo Swinney
In this order, but I will take any of the three without looking the gift horse in the mouth.
Way to put yourself out there.
Man I hope there was some sarcasm in there that I didn't have enough coffee yet to understand.

I really appreciate Mickey in interviews. Definitely my favorite Husker coach to listen to since Osborne.
Osborne's influence on how Mickey does the press conference is really evident. Just the facts, understate his own importance, credit to the players, etc. Humble. No deflection and blaming.
Refreshing.

I'm still hoping MJ wins enough games yet this year (maybe 5) to win his 8 game interview.
But if it's not in the cards to be hcMJ this time around, is he a good enough a recruiter to head to Waco and recruit his new boss?

Mickey seems pretty comfortable in his presser stating that the rest of the season is his job interview, which by the way he got an extra $100k to complete the season as interim HC. I've never been paid for a job interview, maybe got a free meal.
And despite his saying he doesn't like the press attention, his straightforward answers to questions and calm demeanor during so much of a sh!##y situation and speculation surrounding the program, has just in itself earned him my respect.
So I'm going to let him coach, and accept that whatever his outcome is, its the best we were ever going to do in 2022 with the cards he was dealt, and try to look forward. Whether or not it's hcMJ or some other coach next year, we do owe Mickey some grace and gratitude for being willing to stand in the fire.

Don't understand the negative emotions about the sellout streak with a coaching change coming. If we (i.e. the boosters) keep it alive, and we can start having decent seasons, it's a hell of a marketing tool next season and down the road.
If we don't right the ship this time, I won't care cuz then I'm out.

I'm not sure why an NFL coordinator would want to be a college football HC, I know I would want to wait for an NFL job over college.
College HC salary $9 to $10 Million >>>> NFL Coordinator salary of $1 to $2 million. It's called math.
