I thought that Texas would win although I was hoping and praying that USC would stomp all over them. Growing up in Texas my whole life i've had to deal with these Longhorn fans forever. As much as you guys are tired of hearing about USC on ESPN it's even worse hearing about Texas in the local media down here. The Dallas Morning News said today that Texas is now 4-time national champion, with one of them being in 1970. I think we all know that's BS. Oh, and that comment Corso made last night about Young being the greatest college QB ever??

I just don't get the feeling that Jackson will be a wideout next year. I think he can make an impact at safety so that's where he should stay. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Jeff Souder will be our starting strong safety next year with Palmer or Jackson as free safety. Will Jones come in and start in place of Grixby or Bowman?

I have to disagree. I don't ever see Mack Brown leaving Texas and I think Stoops will be at OU for a long time.

If I didn't live in Texas i'd probably be pulling for the horns as well. But the fans around here are just ridiculous. From the way they act you'd think Texas has actually won something. I wouldn't bet any money on it but I'd kind of like to see USC roll over Texas.

Excellent story. Sounds like we're getting a great kid. I'm glad he's a husker.

I'm going to have to go with Grixby. I didn't think too highly of him last year but now i'm much more confident with him matching up against the opponent's #1 reciever. He's still young so he will still get better. I only got to see him play in person twice this year but he made some really nice plays that we didn't see last year.

That sounds about right. Pretty similar to what I saw in my crystal ball as well.

This guy played pretty close to where I live so I've had a chance to see him play. He's very very underrated IMO. I think a lot of people believe his stats are because of the system. However, I've seen him make some very good throws and he appears to be a great leader on the sidelines. His school has won the 5A state title 3 of the last 4 years. While we're talking about this guy someone should check out his teammate. Running back Tre Newton. His dad is former Dallas Cowboy Nate Newton. The kid is amazing and he's only a sophmore.

I agree. Bowman has looked pretty good the last couple games IMO. Grixby is small but he's a warrior and i'm not sure how big they're recievers are. I'm really concerned about them running the ball. As everyone knows they're o-line is really good compared to what we've seen.

Due to the hate mail I’ve been receiving I will be terminating my account with my space. Choosing a college is one of the most important decisions of my life and I would like to make it in peace. I’ve been reading everything that is written about me. People who don’t even know me think they have the right to question my integrity. Who do you think you are? To the writers and reporters saying my word doesn’t count for nothing, I say “shame on you”. Nobody has that right to judge me but God. These past few days have been very upsetting for my family and I. Please allow me my right to make a sound decision. Please stop calling my phone and reposting my personal messages on other websites. A good fan doesn’t impede on peoples right to privacy. Believe me, the things the fans are doing is making the situation worse. Some things have been brought to my attention and that’s the reason for all of the confusion. My word is the same as before and I can choose to call or talk to anyone I please. I want to thank all of the GOOD fans for their support. This all will be cleared up on Wednesday December 21, 2005. Take care and always trust in the Lord.

Shame on you Nebraska fans. If the kid wants to go someplace else, don't be sending him hate mail. I am assuming he is referring to some NU fans who put 1 and 1 together and saw the Cal logos on his myspace account and decided to crucify him. Show some class. This is why i don't think posting his myspace profile was such a good idea on message boards.

sounds like a crybaby to me. What does he expect when he has this kind of stuff in his myspace account? Let Cal have him.

Notre Dame at 96? Texas that low? That has to be incorrect because the majority of Texas players stay all 4 years before leaving to go pro. Vince Young is coming back for example next year, Cedric Benson stayed all 4 years, Chris Simms and Applewhite stayed all 4 years. I will have to double check those rates because there is no way Florida's rate is that high. They are more in the 60's then 80's

If I'm not mistaken Mack Brown has never lost a player early to the NFL. I'm not 100% positive on that but I'm pretty sure I heard that somewhere.

Baylor fans in my opinion are the closest to Nebraska fans. They are very respectful of other teams, unless someone intentionally tries to piss them off. Never heard a problem with them Baylor boys/girls

Baylor fans were very respectful at the game I went to there but I don't think they have enough support to be called the second best fans behind us.

I have to go with Tennessee. They're the only school I think that can give us a serious run for out money. One of my friends is a big vols fan and from what I hear the tailgating there is second to none. The fans get a little restless sometimes but it's because they're spoiled and used to being very good, just like us. Their sea of orange is pretty impressive too.

Believe it or not, our staff knows what they're doing.

It is tough to argue with the numbers. However, I'm going to hold off on calling them great coaches until they actually win something. Every coach in D1 "knows what they're doing" but I think we deserve better than that at Nebraska. We want championships and a coach who simply "knows what he's doing" is not going to get that done. I'm going to stand behind Callahan and support these coaches but they haven't accomplished enough to say that they're great or not.

I read in ESPN the magazine a while ago that Clausen actually makes phone calls to Steve Spurrier. sounds like South Carolina has a good shot at him.

I think he would be a tough loss but if he wants to go to Cal I have no problem. As long as he handles it like a man everything's fine with me.

If I were Holt I think I would be feeling very betrayed by Freeman. Didn't they make the decision to come here and play TOGETHER?? I wonder if Freeman sent him a text message too.

I agree, I have no hard feelings towards Price and KState. If you think about it he must have done an amazing job considering Freeman was "100%" big red next year. IMO this could cause quite a rivalry between us and KSU for the next few years. And text messaging??? that's pretty low.

We've got Beck and Taylor next year so let's start reloading at QB next year. I believe there's supposed to be a better class of QB's next year anyways.

Although i didn't think we had a great chance of getting Mouton I really wanted to see him wearing red next year. Let's hope Wallace pulls a red hat out at the AA game.

Let's start the Clausen '07 campaigning right now. Screw Freeman. It's hard to have a lot of respect for someone who says he's 100% and then completely changes his mind. Have fun winning nothing as KSU. I wouldn't get another QB this year, instead i'd go after a WR. I believe nameless said something about Freeman maybe pulling Holt to KSU with him. I don't know what the chances are of that happening but the thought of it is terrifying.

Well I hope he has fun going to a school that hasn't won anything.... EVER. He's just gunna get smacked around by the blackshirts in the next couple years. Maybe he realized Beck was too good for him and decided to take the easy way out of some real competition.
