    Michigan and their fans.

This is true. They think tOSU are the bad guys, but they do not hate them as much as MSU. MSU they have despised for several years now. OSU always had a level of respect. This is reasonable article on Michigan/OSUs game behind The Game, which OSU just won with flying colors.

    https://www.si.com/college/2023/11/21/michigan-and-ohio-state-rule-book-war-daily-cover

"If Stalions hires somebody to videotape Ohio State’s signals against another opponent, then that’s apparently illegal, it’s a major strategic advantage (according to the Big Ten) and Harbaugh can be punished because he should have known.

But if Harbaugh then gives all of those signals to Ohio State’s next opponent, that’s within the rules … or is it? Is the recipient also supposed to have known how the intel was acquired? Should Purdue’s Brohm have grilled Ohio State and Rutgers to make sure they obtained Michigan’s signals legally last year?

The Big Ten, by the way, has the right under its sportsmanship policy to punish Ohio State, Rutgers and Purdue for their signs exchange last year, even though they did not violate NCAA rules. The rationale for punishing Harbaugh before the NCAA finished its investigation was that the coach was not being punished for breaking rules; the program was punished to protect “integrity of the competition, civility toward all, and respect, particularly toward opponents and officials.”"

I bolded the text above. Based on what I have been reading civility and respect have left the building. It will be interesting and fun to watch how this all ends.

    It's totally amazing.

Michigan, hires people to go against the rules and gain an advantage.

OSU, hires people to figure out how they are doing it and exposes it.

OSU is somehow the bad guy in this?

    I think not.

Who said OSU was the bad guy for hiring PIs? I only heard people call them whiners. :D And it was Connor Stalions that hired people to film sidelines, the rest of the tangled web isn't known quite yet. Was he financed by Uncle Tim the booster? I am sure we will find out soon.

One odd thing about Partridge is that he was coaching in the SEC in 21 and 22, then came back for this season. I am wondering if his investigation tampering was because of something new. ??? Or maybe he just hooked up with Stalions this season.

No, because I stand alone on this issue.  I think it's creepy to hire a PI and psychotic to send Antony and Tony Knuckles to dig up dirt on Michigan football or any college football team.  And I think the timing is strange that it is happening the same time Michigan is thriving and has beaten Ohio State two years in a row.  And all fingers point to a jaded, sourpuss group of Buckeye Coaches or Admins or Boosters that have been super pissed and their feelings are hurt, because they aren't the top dog of the Conference.  So, they collectively talked and hired some mobsters (aka Private Investigators) to do the dirty work for them.

I don't care if Michigan has stolen signals.  You can blame all of college football for putting up signs and signals for everyone to see.  It's right there in front of you.  And all of this looks like If you are Ohio State football and can't beat them on the field, don't be lame and hire Donnie Bags and No-neck Tony to go after them.  Every team looks for an edge.  Every team messes with cheating and it's been going on a long time.  Quite whining.  Stay in your lane.  Go play ball instead.

    Enough said.

I agree with you that most try and steal signs and succeed to some degree. Or get an edge anyway they can. I suspect the SEC is laughing at the big10 while enjoying the show. Stealing signs is legal, and if you have them, you still have to execute, as Prime said. I haven't heard much about which PI firm was hired. The NCAA knows who. Someday it will leak out.

Maybe Ryan Day got what he wanted...an excuse for the last two losses, Harbaugh off the field, and a distracted opponent. Of course, if he loses now, what does he have left? The stakes of this game are higher for both sides now.

How is this not lack of institutional control?

That is an NCAA punishment and would be handed down by them when they finish the investigation in a year or so. I am joking about the year, but you never know. There was the Wakeyleaks scandal where teams got a hold of Wake Forest's play book. I heard there was only a half game suspension when all was said and done, but i did not try and confirm that. Some broadcaster and former assistant coach was passing info to opponents, but I do not know all the details.

When will we have real immigration reform so these people can actually get a job and contribute to the local economy…..like they want to do.

It would be nice, and it better include a limited amount of people each year.

Probably so but the Wikipedia sentence .... "It was also revealed that the NCAA investigation remained ongoing"

It is. I am not sure the NCAA will be governing football by the time they figure this out.  The NCAA Prez made a statement that Michigan was being very cooperative, but then Partridge gets fired for not being cooperative, or destroying evidence, or coaching players what to tell the NCAA. Or any and all of the above. Who knows. The 3 game suspension should be considered part or all of whatever punishment they come up with. Who knows if Michigan will even be in the Big10 by the time this is done.

  7. New York City Mayor Eric Adams is urging the city’s richest to open their wallets to help the city weather a financial storm created by the ongoing migrant crisis, days after the city unveiled deep budget cuts.

"This is a moment where it’s an all hands on deck moment," Adams told a Police Athletic League lunch on Friday, according to the New York Post.

"The way it goes, New York goes, America goes, but I’m going to need you more than ever to support many of these organizations like PAL, Robin Hood Foundation, and others," he said. "A moment where our philanthropic interests must align with some of the gaps and services that we are seeing today."

Adams also reportedly urged New Yorkers to "reach out to Washington, D.C." and demand more support for the city, which he says is carrying a "national crisis."

(wiki source) Partridge allegedly participated in the destruction of evidence regarding the Michigan Wolverines football sign-stealing scandal.

Next, forfeit all 12 games .... Wolverines: 0W-12L. And no bowl. NCAA gods said so ... :cop:

Ohio State fans are happy as a lark :horns

I thought it was Coaching players what to say to the NCAA? The interesting thing is that Partridge was recently rehired for this season. I believe he spent the prior two years as DC at an SEC School. Stalions was hired in '22  and had supposedly been doing this for 3 years. In other words, those two only overlapped this year.

I bet the NCAA, just takes the current suspension and calls it even.

Yeah, ok, but who squealed the story?  Who was the accuser?  Who hired private investigators on Michigan?

I haven't followed the story too closely at all.

Story leaked, Rumors, further investigations.... Michigan busted, penalty given, case closed.  Cool.

I'm just curious who leaked the story? Leaked to the media, leaked to the conf, leaked to the ncaa....... & who was involved with the PI's in the first place?  Who started the witch hunt?  That info should be known, because I want to know lol

    Did you forget this? :sarcasm

I really do not know. I sure we will find out someday. Someone will leak it.

  10. Just received this text. Someone on the staff came clean.

Partridge(LB coach) fired....he was apparently trying to cover up evidence and not cooperating with NCAA. Also a booster apparently was funding Stallions somewhat. This is why apparently why everything was pulled and Michigan settled. B1G was going to offer just suspension for 1 more game for Harbaugh, prior to this info.

  11. I have heard a lot of takes on why M rolled over. My favorite so far is Harbaugh is going to the NFL anyway. Second, the board of regents did and end around and settled. The one below seems the most plausible. They likely would no longer win the TRO or never would have.

The good news for M is that if they do win out, it looks worse on Day, Harbaugh will get handed a trophy by the Pettiti, and the prognosticators will swoon about how these kids over came adversity and won without Stalions, signals or Harbaugh. Try and control what you can.

you do realize there really is a 2025 project?   right?  it's not fiction.

Even if true, doesn't mean anything will succeed. I know plenty of people that vote Democrat or Republican that would not back it.  Back in the 90s I worked with dudes at a defense contractor that would talk about the new world order and very specific plans on how it would come to be. They would point to publications, talk about how we will all willingly give up our freedoms when things go south with a crisis (they might have something there), and even interpret the stinking symbols on the dollar bill. That was all supposed to happen before 2000. I think the only thing that happened was a gold buying pyramid scheme. The Amway of end of the world prepers. I bet if I found one of them now, they would tell me the pandemic was a planned dry run. I am still more concerned about external threats....although I am starting to believe we could just tear ourselves apart.

Except that Trump attempted a coup already. Other than that.

He attempted to sue his way back into a bunch of recounts and failed. Its not the first time that has been attempted or suggested. Then a bunch of Qanon conspiracy theorists tried to self fulfill their own 'prophecies' and ranscked the capital. Trump was more than happy to to let them try. That didn't work either, and most were probably caught and punished. The right has similar conspiracy theories about how the left is pushing the US to Marxism or communism or socialism. Whatever it is, it's gonna fail to take over, but it could tear the country in two. Now that said, I had no idea that Antifa or QAnon were a thing until 2020.

  14. :smokin This sounds like the QAnon belief that Trump would be declared president in January of 2021. Look how that turned out. Or maybe the New World Order that was supposed to be ushered in 20+ years ago. Actually,  it's those dang Free Masons.

That was a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth to fold the tents that fast.

There's the 'roll over and show your belly' UofM that M fans expect to see, and I mentioned earlier. I saw a post that the new M DB coach, Clicksdale, deleted his X account today. Maybe he is the staff member that knew what was going on.
