We are at 3 over right now and you are talking about adding 2 more qbs when there are more pressing needs on the ol.

Aren’t we at 67 guys on scholarship , plus 14 signees and 4 transfers? Plus Honas if he comes back/gets waiver. So 86 at most?

I don't know.  I've been on both sides of the fence, but it just feels like if Trev dumps Frost, we'll lose all the progress they've made in the last 4 years. And they HAVE made progress. Remember the last time we played Michigan? Let's see what this offense looks like with Martinez possibly back, toure, Yant, Johnson, Fidone, etc.

    Toure can’t be back

Yeah, these guys were too small too when they came in as Freshmen...kid is likely 16/17 and still growing.  Zip it.

Turner Gill    Turner Gill - 1983 - Football - University of Nebraska (huskers.com)

Eric Crouch  Eric Crouch - 2001 - Football - University of Nebraska (huskers.com)

Russell Wilson Russell Wilson - 2010 - Football - NC State University Athletics (gopack.com)

I prefer bigger QBs, but, you just don't know yet where a kid this age finishes before college.

    Buque!

Ok admit I haven’t been around in awhile but starting to get excited for football and now getting a bit pissed seeing all these in state recruits not consider us. I know unrealistic we can get them all but seems we should be doing better. With NIL Nebraska is like instant stardom. ASU? :hmmph

I think the ASU ship sailed after they got busted. OU though he can make some nice change from NIL

I would like to know how much these guys talk to each other.  For instance, last year we did great with local talent.  It seemed like they all had the same attitude of wanting to come help build the program back to prominence.  This year, they all have the same attitude again of having no desire.  It feels like a group think thing.

    It is.

What happens when you "rule out someone".  Are you braindead when you do that.  Do you consider any factors?

Obviously, you did not watch the "One of One" video.  He lays out himself as a person and what is important to him.

Here's the deal ... Husker fans have so much pride that they think they above any player ruling them out for all the [to them] pretty obvious things of why :bigredn: is not in the top of a player's ranking.  So, in this case, we say, "Well, he ruled us out before he really ever considered us."  That's just silly.  These kids are seeing all the years of "the crap/delusion" that is now known as "Nebraska Football".  I kid a generation ago would not have this view.  I believe I can say that because I was that generation.

It's all good.  We had moved on.  Most have.  The only thing worth salvaging out of it is what "spin" one wants to put on it.

He blasted our coaches and Austin specifically saying “ They don’t know how to recruit”. Well I guess by recruiting right you need to go to Herm at A$U or the $EC

Potential & coaching. He has translatable skills that compare to the next level. Sometimes you’re looking at a ceiling rather than the current. See Dickerson versus Bretz. Dickerson is the better long term prospect versus Bretz probably being better currently

    Mooney is a lock

He’s a lock to commit , but there’s something called the MLB draft

The one I think is overrated is Reese Mooney. My daughter went to his high school (Denham Springs) and I saw him play last year a few times. I had no idea he was supposed to be anything special. Didn't stand out at all to me. Only QBs I saw last year in Louisiana that stood out were Arch Manning and Zeon Chriss.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think we land either one of Mooney or Morris, and Mooney is better at baseball too!

I harbor no ill will towards WR & couldn't care less that he transferred, but these quotes lack self awareness.

A utility player who doesn't want to be utilized as a returner or out of the backfield...that's new to me.

A scout, let alone anyone who understands football shouldn't have to see tape of WR @ X or Z to know what that would look like & if there is a scout alive who actually expressed that, he should be grateful he's getting paid to do a job he's obviously poor at.

I have a feeling that so called scout is actually his trainer and his father

Had heard the rumors from last year(I'm sure we all did).  Great that NU stood by him.  Hate that there is still (at times) a stigma with mental health and/or those who seek help.  Testament to the staff and to Manning.Kudos to him for tweeting that out.

Yes sir it takes a lot of self courage to come forward with that. Plus it’ll make it easier for him to deal with it going forward. Sometimes all it takes is realizing you need help and being willing to receive it can make all the difference.
